we blew off immigration
the moon was sittin high
we drove from la candona into comentine
and gloria was singing
and cecelia closed her eyes
and i saw them
drifting out over the night sky

i said nueva senoritas
are you gone to brighter days
have you found your greener valley
and the place where your heart stays

headed back to the flatlands
and you headed up to the hills
rain brings you home middle of july
i guess i just got lonesome
think about how you feel
six months gone
no one to dry your eyes

i said nueva senoritas
are you gone to brighter days
have you found your greener valley
and the place where your heart stays

sounds like something produced by Daniel Lanois
Very cruisey kinda slow groove track. Mellow, magical and takes me drifting into a more relaxed mellow mood. Nice!
no new comments for a year?
Really different for them and a tune I'd not heard before. You gotta be in a mellow mood, but this morning I am, I like it.

I'll always remember the first time I saw them. A friend of mine in KC said we gotta see this new duo at a small venue downtown. I'd never heard of them but trusted his musical taste and said sure, plus it was only like $10. They gave out their first CD for free as you walked in to all 50 or 60 people that came that night. I told me friend we just saw something great and that these girls were going to be big.
love the slide guitar! I didn't recognize this as the Indigo Girls
This is a very good album.

I just wish they would tour. They seem to attract really good musicians.
Don't believe I've ever heard this tune before.
Not sure that under 'normal ' circumstances I'd be a fan of it, but right now, It's hooked me.
8.
Played this track one early morning driving from San Diego over the mountains to Indio Wells. Merely perfect.
Ya gotta like IG.... it's a 7!

I'm gonna agree. The last couple of hours have been as slow as death, and I am at work... I CAN'T nap!
THIS really drones!!!!!!!!! I had thought that this was a hard-rockin' group! I have no use for this. :-s 8-< =;

man, RP has gotta play more lively songs more often. Or else some of us will fall asleep...

ME TOO!!! I think Bill's playin' with us!
He just did it again...
I'm a HUGE IG fan and am always happy to hear them, especially on RP. That being said, I think this is the weakest song off of Become You. Still, thank you for playing them. Amy's writing skills have increased exponentially over the past few years and they sound better than ever.

tawanda and I are in the same boat...I much prefer Amy to Emily, who more often than not sounds like someone has stuffed a sponge down her throat. A rather quiet tune for the Girls... decent.

Wow. How prophetic! I just read this comment while Nuevas Senoritas was playing, and when the next song came on I was shocked to see that it was none other than Warren Zevon's Carmelita!

I'm a fan, but this is far from their best stuff.
Indigo Girls always make me stop and pay attention.

I just saw them play this song for the first time live, sitting in the front row on the Honor the Earth tour a few weeks ago. Watching Emily play the slide guitar is awesome.

Not the best off this album....try \"Deconstructions\" or \"Become You\"... \"Collecting You\" is one of my faves too..... I\'ve seen the Indigo Girls with a band and acoustic, They are a whole lot better acoustic, to my surprise!!! They are great no matter what though....

No.. but it has that kind of vibe, doesn't it.. It was written for a political activist group called the Zapatista's. It's a very personal song for Amy and Emily. It's one of my favorites from the new album.

Well, I was just about to say the exact opposite!

their voices just dont quite mesh together all that well. they always seem at least slightly off key.
