Shouldn't this be 'Ain't Gonna Drown'?

I like the way she seems to be going for an (argumentative) dialog with Wade in the Water and all of the country singers who've sung that song. It's nice to have the point and counterpoint

Holy crap, she's the daughter of Rob Schneider from Saturday Night Live... the "Making Copies" guy.
Wonderful voice, excellent lyrics.
Why intentionally degrade/distort the bass line? I do not find that it add to the song.
Nice voice. The song also.
I didn't know Maisie Williams larked as a pseudo-pop smoky lounge singer

If her father wasn't rich, famous and connected, there is absolutely no way that she'd get a major label release...nepo babies just inherently irk me...especially when we're sold on their "talent"...
And just a quick update...I'll just leave this here for all those that think she's a "talent"

Harlem River Blues by Justin Townes Earle fits too, though sadly it turned out the wrong way in the song and for him.
If you like the sentiment of the chorus, may I (strongly) suggest, "The Ocean Doesn't Want Me Today," by Tom Waits

It's a big, fat pile of nothing, at least for me.
"You can do it!"
Drown while washing the dishes?
Her voice is instantly recognizable and interesting. Although the other piece that RP plays seems like some sort of novelty, this has some integrity.
Nice -- I get to pop Ms. King's board cherry -- I'll be gentle. This is nice -- sultry, driving beat -- gritty -- Amy Winehouse-ish -- solid 8.
Finally first!
That's it, nothing else to say.
Oh, I do like it though.
