But on Wednesday, Mr. Trump described the bill as âof minor importance compared to lower interest rates,â and called it âWarren centric,â using a racial slur to refer to Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, the top Democrat on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
Trump is racist. There is no argument.

Felon-in-chief refusing to sign the bipartisan housing bill is an excellent opportunity for the Congress to stand up a little bit taller and consider getting rid of this roadblock to American progress. After all, there are still the lame ducks that he primaried along with the usual cadre of patriots that oppose him, and now maybe some fence-sitters will pick a side: adulthood or servitude.

Yup.
This is as much about the passive middle as it is the MAGA cult. To all the people who said "it couldn't be any worse giving him another chance...", here's your proof that's not true.

Well, to be fair, there isnât another choice. No other politician is better at negotiating, planning, and being in tune with their constituency - putting their needs at the forefront. After all, heâs improved his supportersâ take home pay,
decreased their taxes,
kept them and their children out of unnecessary wars,
strengthened our alliances and security,
beefed up our centers of knowledge so weâre cutting edge,
made giant strides in maintaining and upgrading our infrastructure,
put a new health care system into place thatâs affordable and high quality,
upgraded our national education system,
moved forward with new technology that will clean our air and water and decrease our reliance on others, and
made sure that all Americans - no matter where they live - have a say in their democratic republic.
All the while not using the office for personal wealth or aggrandizement.
With all that happening, I wouldnât back down from supporting him either. Promises made; promises kept!

You all hate everything Trump Obama does or likes and do the opposite or oppose him. So if Trump says he likes food, are you all going to stop eating ?

Furthermore I surmise you feel that writing off the previous experience and not learning from it is a valid excuse. The reason people are invested in this, aside from the danger to wildlife, etc. is because it is an illustration of the failure of trump's management style and his attitude that he has the capability to do anything after draining all the expertise from the swamp or ignoring all the experts. I mean failure unless you mean enriching himself and friends at taxpayer expense. In which case he has been extraordinarily successful.
As a Republican, I would decry this incredible misuse of my tax dollars. As a MAGA, I am no Republican.
As a Christian, I would rather my taxes were used to feed the hungry and house the poor. As a MAGA, I am no Christian.

Only because you all are so heavily invested in this.
Obama started the algae bloom problem during his renovation in 2013 when he switched the water source from the city to the Potomac River.
In 2013, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool made headlines when a massive, neon-green algae bloom took over the 6.75-million gallon basin, turning the iconic D.C. landmark into what visitors called a "swamp". <1, 2.
Root Causes
The 2013 algae outbreak was a major growing pain following a massive $34 million, two-year restoration. The outbreak was driven by several compounding factors: <1, 2 - Tidal Basin Water Source: During the 2012â2013 renovations, the National Park Service (NPS) changed the pool's water source from city drinking water to water pumped in from the nearby Tidal Basin. This was designed to save over 32 million gallons of water a year, but it introduced new nutrients and organic matter that fueled algae growth. <1, 2, 3
- Zero Chlorine Policy: Because of its environmental impact and wildlife, the Reflecting Pool operates like a natural body of water and cannot simply be treated with aggressive swimming pool chemicals like chlorine. <1, 3
- Ozone Filtration Issues: The 2012 renovation included a state-of-the-art ozone filtration system meant to neutralize algae-promoting nutrients. However, it proved insufficient or required constant recalibration, and the lack of proper water circulation made the water conditions perfect for a bloom. <1, 2
The Aftermath & Response
The bloom was so extreme and rapid that the deep blue bottom of the newly renovated pool was completely hidden. To combat the persistent problem in 2013 and subsequent years, the NPS had to periodically drain the pool, scrub the basin, and adjust the ozone levels. <1, 2, 3, 4, 5Algae continues to be an ongoing, cyclical challenge for the monument, with experts noting that the pool's aging, leaky plumbing and shallow, sun-warmed water create the perfect breeding ground for blooms
And you are ok with the no bid contract to a friend and extreme cost overruns. The failure of the liner installation - or maybe you are dumbocrat enough to believe that someone went down to the bottom of the pool with a box knife and managed to get all the paint to peel up like it wasn't even bonded to the bottom and that using a paint that wasn't bonded was somehow best practice, even though whatever was used in Obama's time didn't have that problem.

C'mon Kurt.... it's not a search...it's an AI response.
Unless of course you started putting references at the end of your sentences <1, 2, 3.... or began starting sections with titles like The Aftermath & Response.
But while you're here... If Trump or his idiot army had any ability, had asked anyone, or had used your Google skills.... they'd know draining and filling the thing was going to result in an outbreak. Plan for it.... predict it...
And don't hire people who painted your pool without an RFP and government bidding process so that you can make sure they know what's up.
You're all for small government, but that only works when the smaller government doesn't spend 5X on things.
