FLA is about to start bitching. Down to the low 30's for the next 3-4 nights. Oh, poor us
We hit 59. Put a blanket on the bed. Mrs. Islander used it, I managed without. I did have to put on a long sleeve to drink coffee on the palapa. Our time at the southern sojourn is winding down. I'm not looking forward to the return to that foreign land.
62F here and 2 inches of snow in liquid form so far.
I'd take that. We will be below 40 C for a while, so hot, not really freaking stinking hot. Could use the rain. At least I'm not in the part of the state where they had record breaking 48.9 C.
Two days in a row off work because of this storm. 6 inches of snow overnight Sunday and another 6 inch from late yesterday afternoon until this morning.

A fresh breeze for a coastliner may well feel like a heavy storm to an iron-concrete dweller.

Fuck! When trying to find a suitable graphic - the internet - as fucked as it has become - shows most only Stormy Daniels pictures!
This is the weather we have to endure! - Stupidity!!
Kinda like the earthquakes we get around here.
People who have been around here for less than 10 years freak out over a 4.9 quake. These are the same ones who live less than a mile from the San Andreas in the newest Sun City development.
You should have been here for the 7.0+ ones from the not to distant past. Sheesh.
Ugh. Even walking on it isn't a good idea. I sure hope the power stays on. Stay warm and safe.
It is slippery for walking. I went out and cleaned off my car to prevent it from having a thick, hard coating build up, but I have no intention of driving it anywhere. Hopefully tonight's weather won't take down any branches and/or power lines.
20° here in central NC. Had some ice and sleet last night, then a little snow on top, so the ice is not visible; driving on it is probably not a good idea. More snow/sleet/ice expected later.

That's a deep hanging cold front, I see. Any snow in the forecast?
