The tune caught my attention, the lyrics and subject matter make this an important and quite likable song.

I wonder…what other musicians dare to rail against the oppression of Middle Eastern women?

Nick Mulvey is a past master at ensuring very serious themes have very catchy and listenable music. Whilst at first this may seem like an awkward sort of juxtaposition, I for one am happy to have such important subject matter brought back into focus, without the need for emotive, overly-sentimental music. One of my favourite tracks of his that does the same is 'In the Anthropocene'.

Incredible lyrics—the essential core of this piece.  Any weaknesses of music there may be are buried in the majesty of the lyrics
