Blind faith
Heartache
Mind games
Mistakes
My sweet fireball
My sweet rigmarole
I want it all
I want it all

Old dogs
New tricks
Can you feel it?
Space age country girl
Stone cold miracle
I want it all
I want it all

And then suddenly it hit me it's a year ago
Since I drank miniature whiskey and we shared your coke
Ain't it just like you to kiss me and then hit the road
Leave me listening to The Stones
2000 Light Years From Home

if you don't have this on loud enough...like, if you're listening at work on your computer (not with headphones) on a number 3 or 4 level, and there's other random noise happening, it will only sound like someone is repeatedly moaning  - when it comes to the "i want it all" repeated, that is. it's quite annoying.

i recommend listening to it much louder, with headphones.
Too distorted! Lousy recording . Otherwise, it is a good tune.
fuzzy af...get outta here...
Great tune! I had never heard of them before RP! ...Thanx RP!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh

I like to call him Micky Bubble.

This comment.  Just the first sentence though.
Hangs right in there with Queen to say the least!
Classic tune,....... always reminds me of the joke "How do you get a duck to sing smooth soul?.....Put it in the microwave until it's bill withers!"
I Want It All.

Kind of fitting considering their off-shoring & tax avoidance scam

Ditto Velvet Underground to this.

My son did Arctic Monkeys when he was 14, but because I liked it too he's had to move on to hip hop now he's 15, because I don't like that.
Bill is a segue. Master. Just sayid’...
Jethro Tull Locomotives Breath to this..... Brilliant. Segue!,

Why does this make me think of Gary Glitter??

The skipping beat reminds me of Rock and Roll (Part 2), so that might be part of it.
Marc Bolan  resurrected?
Black Keys? Who in their right mind would want to sound like that? Horrible noise.
Arctic Monkeys = Instant Mute {#Stop}

I think the song you are referring to is simply called "Gimme".

Correct.

Thanks.

I understand you !

Slapback delay on the kit. The overall over-compression. And the guitar/vocal style. It's a tried and true formula that most rock bands will inevitably allude to, usually unsuccessfully.

This lacks any real charm, though I do like the R.S lyrical reference to 2000 Light Years From Home.

The best example of this genre revisited that I ever heard was Boom Crash Opera's "Give Me What I Want"......seems to be some kind of titular theme going on here too.

That seems to be a rhetorical question.  We assume the answer is not because you have a certain proclivity for what sent him to the slammer. Just sayin.

it is the distorted guitar and layered vocals and stomping beat.

So much more interesting than their previous work. Glad to hear more than the Bacardi commercial.
Notorious queensofstoneagesque
I love the brashness of their earlier work too but the polish of this recent album really shines sic

Exactly what I was thinking... Sheffield's Black Keys. At least this version of them.

I just hope this whole retro revival they've started does not become a trend.  I want to hear artists who are daring and pushing the envelope.
