Between Havana and New Orleans
Drumming a requiem for the dead
And the souls hanging on every poet's prayer
Running to the rock, running to the sea
Praying to the Lord, please shelter me
But the ground keeps shaking
Water is boiling on fire
Blood pulsing through their veins
Like the waves crashing on the Malecón wall
Clocks stopping at twelve
On the eve of a forgotten war
Luis driving a '59
Making it half way across the Gulf
Stranded on a rock
Stranded on the sea
There's a wall in the ocean
Between you and me
Dreams of reaching dry land
Talking to the fortune teller
Prisoners pounding the jail
Like the waves crashing on the Malecón wall
Someone lost an eye
Someone lost the truth
Trying to save face
Oh 'neath the eyes of the Virgin el Cobre
Shout me a line sister
Shout me a line sister
Oh I see your hands in the air
See you drowning on the other side
Side
Chief's in the parish
And the drummers in the square
Walking across the fire
Walking across the waves
Sinner on the rock
Sinner on the sea
And there's a sunken bridge
'tween you and me
Running past the embassy gates
And the Santería shrine
Blood pulsing through their veins
Like the waves they remember
Crashing on the Malecón wall
Lyrists understand that "I" is easier to hit high notes, really opens your mouth up. They understand grammar. They're writing poetry. F**ck grammar.
I Agree!! Also, Yes sang "You and I"!!
Yes, yes, yes! 5,000 or more dead English teachers spin in their graves every time some ignorant twit says, " tween you and I". ARRRGGGHHH!!!

Me too.
Yes, that vocal outburst was Morrison-esque. 8.
Definitely. I thought it was a Chris Issak I hadn't heard.
I have noticed you have owned quite a few cars. Some day I am going to do an inventory. Are you Jay Leno by chance? ;)
...... yes
I had the same open air experience in Holland. And apart from that hat bring a bottle of wine or buy one at the bar.
Nice to hear from Turkey. Keep it coming!
That album gets an overall 8!!
Yes, a bit; it's got that minor-key, twangy-guitar, trumpet-accompanied stuff going on like Mr. Diamond's tune does.
Nice flow this afternoon...
Has anyone tried the Koss Striva Pro headphones-? Supposed to be WiFi

Not necessarily. I think it's a nice enough, but not too convincing "Calexico by the numbers" record (about a 6 on the Radio Paradise scale).
However, I've been to their Berlin concert last month and most of the new songs - like Epic and especially Maybe on Monday - sounded much more interesting and powerful. I definitely recommend seeing them live.

USA is on a fast downwards spiral without this TERRIBLE turbo-capitalist!
With him you speed-up this process!
USA 2012 equals ROME (a few years before) 378 AD
