I wanted love, I needed love
Most of all, most of all
Someone said true love was dead
And I'm bound to fall, bound to fall for you
Oh, what can I do? Yeah
Take my badge, but my heart remains
Lovin' you, baby child
Tighten up on your reigns
You're runnin' wild, runnin' wild, it's true
Sick for days, so many ways
I'm achin' now, I'm achin' now
It's times like these I need relief
Please show me how, oh show me how to get right
Yeah, it's out of sight
When I was young and movin' fast
Nothin' slowed me down, oh slowed me down
Now I let the others pass
I've come around, oh come around 'cause I found
Livin' just to keep goin'
Goin' just to be sane
All the while I know it's
Such a shame
I don't need to get steady
I know just how I feel
I'm tellin' you to be ready
My dear
Most of all, most of all
Someone said true love was dead
And I'm bound to fall, bound to fall for you
Oh, what can I do? Yeah
Take my badge, but my heart remains
Lovin' you, baby child

i wish I could play in a band with my brother...suppose I need an instrument...washboard?!
Still always sounds like the drummer has as much difficulty keeping pace with the music as I have listening to it. Tighten up!

I'm guessing these guys have heard of Garland Jeffreys.

Sounds like a cross between Lenny Kravitz and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hard to imagine a worse combination. Except maybe famine and plague.
Nice heartbreak set... Good timing.
Fingers crossed they are back closer to this sound next album. 7 albums I love and one I am not so keen on. Don't get me wrong I don't hate it but when you are so into a band and after how both Brothers and El Camino had blown me away ok seems somehow like a massive dissapointment. But hey why am I talking about that one when we were listening to Brothers.
I love this song!

The Black Key's song is awesome...to bad they are all the same one awesome song...ho hum, bored with it now

I liked the Black Keys the first time around when they were the White Stripes...
I really like this song, but man am I tired of it (not rp's fault, regular radio plays it ALL THE TIME)
This is a really good tune
If you get the chance to see them live, do not pass it up. They are the real deal!

6 songs is too much? How many does U2 have?
U2 has a more but at least the play list is more varied. I am getting tired of this also. Actually never thought much of it to begin with.

Thanks Bill, Makes Monday bearable.

OK, I'm tired of the Black Keys now. I dig their cool, 60's sound, but there's just too much of them in the playlist, for my taste.

one of the ugliest songs played here. really do not understand why anybody would want to hear this crap
My daughter, now 17, saw these guys at Milwaukee Fest earlier this week...and I'm green with envy.

Consider it mentioned. So is the vid online, and if so do you know where? I love the crunchy minimalism of this band, encapsulated by the CD cover. Back to basics rock, a bit like the White Stripes. Reckon I'll have to splash out for this CD as all the songs from it played so far on RP have been terrific. 9 from the blasted away Nottingham jury.
I am with you! Saw them in a french tv show. They were really awsome! Nice guys by the way!

Enough already. It's a decent song, but I feel like I'm being force fed. Like, ten times a day. Now please play something obscure from the Stranglers to cleans the pallet. Please!

I've listened to a bit of npr music stuff and they overplay this one(at least every day likely twice) though not as bad as clear channel does with say Florence and the Machine (4 -5 times a workday)
Of course the cc "Nonstop New Rock" station plays friken Beastie Boys 5 times a day at least and only the same 4 songs from License, with Intergalactic tossed in once in a while. None are new nor are they rock.
I look forward to that great feeling of a great song coming on —- two years from now. PLEASE don't over-play this (as in: not again for at least a week).

*lots* of airplay and related venues ... very good for the band—kudos!— ... but it is an eerie feeling when one thinks one is listening to "the radio" instead of to RP ... I actually bought the whole album and it is pretty good
This is such a sexy song. I love it!

Perhaps the BEST thing about that particular episode of SNL. Loved it!
Ditto on the hilarity of their video for this tune. Creative and funny. I wonder if the woman in the video is the mother of the little girl attracting the attention of the young brothers?
I saw them on SNL last Saturday with Jim Carrey. I absolutely LOVE a band that perform live...great show!

My new favorite band! The only disappointment is that I didn't get into them earlier.

Good morning to You from Bob via The Black Keys.
Hell yeah! Always when I'm stuck and don't want to listen to my own stuff I listen in to RP and then something like the The Black Keys comes along... I love you!
Another great, GREAT discovery thanks to RP!!!

What a cool song - i love the return to guitar and drum driven music - and these guys are helping to lead the way. What a great switch in the middle of the song too - it took me a while to realize it was the same song (and the Keys taboot) because it is not their usual sound. And they pull it off!
Man, I just dig these guys! From Akron, OH, home of Devo, Chrissie Hynde. Must be the smell of rubber in the air that is so inspiring!
I dig it. Lots of soul.
these guys are amazing!
Wow! These guys are pretty tighten up as a band!

Maybe it's just that I'm not in the mood for caterwauling vocals (and I rather love Geddy Lee, so this isn't an insult) and noisy music. I'll give it another chance, because I know there's talent here. For now, though, not my cup of tea...
The comment to this song is Outstanding.
I like this album more and more with each listen. Thanks, Bill.
I just ordered all of their cds ...kinda like it, too.

The Black Keys are the next great American band. Mark my words.
To me it sounds as if the engineer wasn't watching his VU meters in relation to the vocal mic.

This is NOT the music we tighten up with.
Though it kinda sounds like the music that Amy Winehouse might get tight with.
Actually, the song's OK by me, but not that memorable.
I prefer Archie Bell & the Drells version.

The Black Keys are gods of rock...enough said. Actually come to think of it not really as i haven't heard them on RP before. Every album a masterpiece. Solidly reccomend this album, Thickfreakedness and Rubber Factory and thats not to say the other three don't rock too. Then there's the live factor...just go see them if you get the chance.
I prefer Archie Bell & the Drells version.
Good tune: a lot of different influences all going on simultaneously. Cool sound.
Retro - me likey!
solid, bluesy rock& roll, perfect for a Friday before the 3 day weekend!
This is kind of nice. The drumming is pretty great and it has a sort of sixties quality. A nice rhythm segue in the middle, too. I like it.
i wish I could play in a band with my brother...suppose I need an instrument...washboard?!
If you'd ever had the pleasure of seeing Buckwheat Zydeco, you'd know that playing a washboard well is harder then it looks.
