Superb! Another first for me, thanks to RP!
I've had to race storms a few times while riding my motorcycle. Once I decided the storm won, so I got a hotel room and avoided the hail and tornado I was about to ride into.

Lousy lyrics.
entusiasmante - godete questo puro concentrato di ritmo ed abilità da virtuosista.
I had the great fortune of hanging out with Harvey on several occasions. He's a local for folks in the Boston area - he used to play at a small cafe (I _THINK_ called the press room or something like that) in Portsmouth, NH. He's a totally sweet guy, and incredibly talented (also really tall :)
This was, oh gosh, probably 20 years ago. But I remember his playing, his quiet skill, and fo course the beautiful music.

Lovely - haven't heard Harvey in decades, and wondered why there wasn't any play. Well done
The Waifs, Rowena & Wallace; Richard Thompson, '52 Vincent; then this...
WOW, B&R, Just WOW!!!
WOW, B&R, Just WOW!!!
COMPLIMENTI non smetterei di ascoltare questa bella musica magistralmente eseguita!
this shit is real
Wow fantastic guy could give Neil young and keeping h Richards a run for his money
Wow! Amazing. In order to play at this level, he must have a metronome in his DNA. For reals.
Guy you've never heard of, generic album title, bad artwork. Amazing musical artistry hiding inside. The magic of RP.
Frenetic
My rating is now 7 going down to 5

Man's amazing
I've always loved this; it's freaking AMAZING! It's got a Celtic lilt to it, and some kick-ass finger-picking, yeah!

Yeah, heaven forbid the guy change the tempo of his own song. You ought to teach him how to "really" play the guitar and the four or five other stringed instruments he plays.
I think he's got a future in music, but he needs a metronome.

Yes he is! Would like to here more than that one song. Speaking of which, maybe there's another Harvey Reid song we should hear?

This song is great but this music set is very old! The last 5 - 10 songs have been played in the same order for for almost ten years now.

These last few songs are part of a VERY OLD playlist...at least 5+ years old--all in the exact same order.
(I know because I recorded it 5 years ago to listen to on my iPod when I work out).

As Jimmy Stewart would say: "Harvey!!!"
It's nice how the banana plays in the rhythm of this song :P

I don't think Fred's comment was meant to say that you couldn't make negative comments about an artist, but instead that it was inappropriate to imply that anyone that likes anything U2 did after Joshua Tree is a mindless idiot.

He's from Portsmouth, NH - I've hung out with him several times (oh, a decade or so ago), and gone to many of his shows. A true virtuoso of, well, anything with strings on it. I'm not sure what he's doing nowadays, but he used to play fairly regularly at The Pressroom in Portsmouth.
Woops - his concert schedule is posted and up to date. Definately go see him!

A very friendly, approachable, nice guy. Tall too. :)
Where did this guy come from? This is spectacularly, deliciously good.

Perhaps Fahey in complexity, I just don't hear Prine who isn't given to solo guitar pieces.
But they all are great in their own quarter.

Not usually a fan of this sort of thing but it's got me listening. A high 7 for now.
11:54 am - Harvey Reid - Racing the Storm
11:49 am - Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Diablo Rojo
11:43 am - Santana - Toussaint L'Overture
Nice guitar segment!
I heard this track about a week or so ago on here and really enjoyed it. I've been looking for his best album (in editor's opinions).
Harvey is on an independent label. You can order all of his music from Woodpecker Records (www.woodpecker.com)
Oooooooh! I LIKE this!
Really grabs you by the eardrums and says, "Pay attention!"
This guy is really cool in concert. Very accessible and friendly.
Indeed, WOW. I must purchase this...now!
Well... that's pretty cool. Followed by Bruce Cockburn, another most-excellent tune.

Cracking - loving it!
It's like a Bach piece on harpsichord. Great music.
Lovely!
Wow, great!
Another original virtuoso guitarist comes to my attention via RP. Bravo!
Great picking ... sort of Prine-ish but maybe more Fahey ... anyway ... Harvey burns his axe for sure.
Where did Harvey Reid come from? Great piece. I'll have to look into more of this music. Thanks RP!

If you like this, check out Bruce Cockburn's "Speechless"; a collection of his instrumental work. He's an incredible guitarist.
YAY HARVEY REID!!!!!
I saw him many times here in Boston and up in Portsmouth, and hung out with him after shows a few times. A totally sweet guy, very laid back, and unbelievably talented. His pieces are technically complex and dramatic, though on occasion he goes on for a while. This is a good sample of his work, but if I were to choose a favorite, I'd say it was either "Crossing the Badlands" or "The Coming of Winter". I'll try and dig them up.
Yay!
