Primo snorted up his name
Like he does every year
On the day he came into the world
It makes him feel like Richard Gere
But it always fades too fast
Now he's staring down his past
Run Primo run
Twenty years had come and gone
Since they made that one mistake
On paper it was beautiful
An old man and a safe
Now he's got two little girls
He's living in another world
Run Primo run
Sonny saw the old man's face
He just couldn't let it go
Plans go south and people die
Nobody has to know
Then Sonny he got saved
A confession Sonny gave
Run Primo run
Sonny called out of the blue
Wired to the law
The barbeque was in full swing
When Primo took the call
Primo ran to his tool shed
Sirens, lights flashing red
Run Primo run
Like he does every year
On the day he came into the world
It makes him feel like Richard Gere
But it always fades too fast
Now he's staring down his past
Run Primo run
Twenty years had come and gone
Since they made that one mistake
On paper it was beautiful
An old man and a safe

Run Primo run

he's a cool, cool cat.
Dylanesque and nearly as fun as Tweedledum and Tweedledee
great early Chuck
Yay! Great to hear Chuck Prophet here.
Good! But, not his best tune!
I need to upload some Green on Red, I guess.
This song — as well as "Storm Across the Sea" — is a real treat! Thanks, RP, for this!
Loved it!
CP on RP!!! Nice, but only the 4th or 5th best song from the album.
Hold on, Primo! I'll join you. Got to get away from this awful song.
This is also awful.
Not Chuck's best day at the office, not by a longshot.
Unique sound that resembles a lot of stuff I have heard before but no one in particular stands out, Dylan comparisons notwithstanding. I am going to have to check out some more of Prophet's stuff...

Chuck Prophet is a great live act, I!
I hope so because he sure sucks on CD!

Chuck Prophet is a great live act, I saw him this summer opening up for Lucinda Williams and he put on a good show. Just no-nonsense rock and roll!

Close your eyes and this could have been an outtake from Dylan's "Highway 61" sessions.
Good enough to be an INtake from Highway 61. Hip tune! Very Dylanesque RP run........
I really like this album. I hadn't heard Chuck Prophet before RP, then I bought the album and it ROCKS A nice mix or musical styles.

Great CD - this is a good tune from it and there are plenty more (although they all don\'t sound like this which is either good or bad depending upon how you feel about this song)
A great songwriter . . . thanks for adding this . . .
is it just me, or does this sound almost exactly like the singer from Eels?
This is probably the best new CD I have purchased since Zero 7. How bout playing \"Summertime Thing\" Bill? I think it might be more well recieved. I still love Primo though. You know, the song......
Very inventive and a good AM (morning)song; I crank it whenever I hear it!!

I do! Studio or live, I like it! Every time this comes on, I turn it up and start rockin' . . .
Sounds like a remake of the old Batman TV theme
\"BATMAN!!\"
there are songs that just don\'t do it for me but put them in a good set and they kick

This is fun!
I like it. Reminds me of Jonathon Richman and the Modern Lovers. How about digging out some Modern Lovers Bill?
I need to upload some Green on Red, I guess.
I've been waiting for 6 years!
