I'm going down to the sea
M-l-S-S-l-S-S-l-P-P
I watch the sun yellow and brown
Sinking suns in every town

My angel sings down to me
She's somewhere on the shore waiting for me
With her wet hair and sandy gown
Singing songs waves of sound

There's a dive I know on River Street
Go on in and take my seat
There's a lot of friends I'll never meet
Gonna take a dive off River Street

You look different from way down here
Like a circus mirror I see flashes, of you on the surface

I'm coming up from way down here
The water's clear, all I want is to see your face

I'm going down to the sea
M-l-S-S-l-S-S-l-P-P
I watch the sun yellow and brown
Sinking suns in every town

Now even RP has spam?!  Is there a way to report this to William so it can be deleted?

take a screen shot and e-mail it to him or Alanna.
I see Everlyish as a heck of a compliment. Love the harmonies.

Lover it!  Been missing their special way of harmonizing.

I thought it was the Everly Bros, had to look and was surprised. Good song.

!Parts remind of Everly brothers.  Change ups in verses.  Nice guitar.  I like the change to minor on the last note of the chorus.

Interesting. E. Brothers country rock would be called indie nowadays...

Also  The BoDeans and god knows how many other "Two guys who harmonize" pairings. The comparisons are inevitable and predictable. One either enjoys their sound or not.

And I do. Thanks for your comment.
My mom, a huge fan of Phil and Don, would have loved this. I like it too.
The Everly Bros. are Back! Sadly, without Felix and Beurdeleax. (sp?)
Yeah I stopped to look to see if Phil and Don had put out something new somehow.
Phil and Don channeling

Maybe more than a bit.

I sit on the beach and it fits...
A bit Ever-lish?  A little more sustain and a little less minor and you've got "Cathy's Clown", which I didn't like because my steady date was Cathy.

PS I sorely miss the Dr Demento radio show.

That's why I gave them 7.

Lovely!
More like Jan & Dean.
Lovely stuff! Strikes chords that resonate in my heart! When I was just a little kid, my elder cousin Toni and her friends used to play and sing along to the Everly Brothers often on their turntables and acoustic guitars, and this sends me back... This talented duo gives me new and treasured revelations, thanks to RP!

Based off of their Wiki page, they are brothers.
