Help me. I'm going nuts, over here.
moved from Utah to Phoenix, early '70s, working as a cocktail waitress with Jolinda, who taught me to smoke cigarettes, drink martinis and listen to Cal Tjader.  She is the coolest friend I ever had
Just the other day, FB had a post about Cal Tjader, and I commented it's been a while since I heard him on RP in a while. Thanks William for readiing either my mind or comment.
Brilliant soundtrack to a morning’s walk to work in lower Manhattan
sublime percussion; swinging rhythm!
always love me a great xylophone gig!!  Well done, William, well played!!  9 from me today....
More of this please, Mr Bill.

RP should seriously consider a dedicated jazz station.

I disagree. RP has a perfect match of so many styles, wonderfully blended to a flow I can listen to all day.
This is why I love listening to RP so much: I can hear both Pearl Jam and this masterpiece of latin jazz. And anything in between. Well done!
Surprised to see such a low rating for a phenomenal sound that has stood the test of a sounding great a half a century later. I was 10 years old when this music would have been around and I can completely imagine how if I was only a few years I would have grooved to this. A very solid 7 is the least it should get, IMO.
Going straight to Amazon to find this... Wow.
c.
Latin grooves were a staple in my household, as the son of my immigrant Puerto Rican father. This, takes me back! EZ 10!!
RP should seriously consider a dedicated jazz station.

Itest as old as I am!

1966? Really? Kind of timeless, innit?
Very solid trombone work on this.
What the younger audience may not grok is that these sounds were created by mixing individual musicians work. The MOOG of Wakeman and Emerson was still years in the future, and drum machines further out than that....

Something like a lost art, lamentable; but that is progress...not better or worse; simply different.
Flatulant?
Marimba and Vibes!  love them
Whoa, I LOVE this

Where else but RP?

Decent 9 from yo boyyyeee
Super nice Bill! Very Friday nightish! Thanks amigo

I think this piece is very uplifting this sunny Sunday morning Thank You!  (I flashed back to hearing Lionel Hampton on the Ed Sullivan Show or some such, the man was amazing! Xylophones almost always click a positive vibe in my mind : )

You are thinking of the vibraphone
Love this jangly, classic percussive Latin sound, with that smooth, cool vibraphone.  Simply the best chill!
I guess it's ok....but I would prefer a version about 6 mins shorter.
Great music
Thank you RP
This I can dance to into eternity. Absolutely brilliant rendition of a classic tune.
