Strawberries cherries and an angel's kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things

I walked in town on silver spurs that jingled to
A song that I had only sang to just a few
She saw my silver spurs and said lets pass some time
And I will give to you summer wine
Ohh-oh-oh summer wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel's kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you more summer wine
Ohhh-oh summer wine

My eyes grew heavy and my lips they could not speak
I tried to get up but I couldn't find my feet
She reassured me with an unfamiliar line
And then she gave to me more summer wine
Ohhh-oh summer wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel's kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you summer wine
Mmm-mm summer wine

When I woke up the sun was shining in my eyes
My silver spurs were gone my head felt twice its size
She took my silver spurs a dollar and a dime
And left me cravin' for more summer wine
Ohh-oh-oh summer wine

Strawberries cherries and an angel's kiss in spring
My summer wine is really made from all these things
Take off your silver spurs and help me pass the time
And I will give to you summer wine
Mmm-mm summer wine

Liked it then and still enjoy it
Cœur has some great music, better than this song. Please get some of her French songs. Comme des enfants, perhaps?
Two musicians from my country (Belgium) made a cover of this not too long ago, but they modernised the lyrics, replacing the silver spurs with a Cadillac and such. It was a pretty decent version of the song, this one doesn't really do it for me. I'm afraid I'll have to agree with the apparently heavily traumatised person who re-posted the same comment over and over again, and claim that this works better as a duet…
Hated then, hate now.
This isn't a case where comparison is useful. This stands on its own as interesting enough for its meandering in and outs of where this song has gone before. Excellent listening pleasure.

Maybe it's six different users with the same user name?

If Béatrice Martin is doing la chanson française, that is what we should be listening to.

Not covers of popular American music.....

I'm sure Bono's version after a few Coors would be mildly interesting, but 1) good?, and 2) why would you subject yourself to that (either the music or the beer)?

Good point.

Please stop making this comment... it was fine as a single post ....

Yeah, Coeur doesn't add anything to the Hazelwood/Sinatra classic from my youth. If it ain't broke, don't fix it until it is broke.

Just sayin'..........

It's a good version, but like most here, I prefer the Sinatra/Hazlewood version, which also features the horn flourishes from the theme song from "Thunderball" (by Tom Jones) in it.  Coincidentally, Nancy would do the theme song for Connery's next Bond film.

The Sinatra version borders on iconic.

If Cœur de pirate's thing is la chanson française as per the wiki entry, maybe RP should play some of that music?

You think this should be a duet...? :-D Probably so.
But seriously, why post the same comment over and over and over and over and... over?

Q: why post the same comment over and over
A: because mdfergy's life is empty and they've got a LOT of time on their hands?

The version by the Johnny Depp lookalike geezer and the consummately sexy Natalia whoever does it for me. Song and video. The video is a most arousing thing indeed. Is it uploaded? But Beatrice Martin does have a nice voice.

it looks like the votes are not supporting your opinion :p  No reason to stop playing a song that has a nice 7 ranking
I see many people complaining because this version is no duet but she does a really nice job, I like this version and gave it a 7. I think she brings enough emotion and feelings in her way of singing it !

This is weak.. it NEEDS to be a duet to really compare to other versions.. i don't know why RP keeps playing it... just makes me want Nancy Sinatra or Bono and the Coors...

Don't know the other versions others are talking about, but they have to be better than this. I want to skip it, but my device won't skip. Please make it stop!

Still an okay version. Lana del Ray does an excellent version; more like the Sinatra/Hazelwood one..

I don't like this version because it is not a duet, which was the way it was meant to be accomplished...
Has a nice creepy element to it. I wouldn't be surprised if her summer wine is poisoned.
I don't know how this one stayed off my radar for 50 years. Béatrice Martin somehow manages to make this work without being half of a duet, and she also turned me onto looking for other covers on YouTube. *Everyone* seems to have done it, but the high water mark, IMHO is the one with The coors and Bono. Check it out, along with all the others.

Nice version but I must admit I prefer her French songs.

I totally agree. Lee Hazelwood’s profound voice made it in this song.

First time I've heard this. I found myself waiting for the male voice to join in—unconsciously evoking the Sinatra/Hazelwood version. The mind plays tricks on the ear.
She sounds a lot like Kat Edmonson.
Artist has a nice voice.  Would like to hear more from her
Nice coverversion, but the orininal cowboy attitude is missing.

Not a very good version of a very evocative song.
Unfortunately it adds nothing to the original (well, I've only heard the version with Nancy Sinatra - according to Wikipedia, Lee Hazlewood sang it with some called Suzi Jane Hokum prior to that version).

Edit - I've listened to the original, it's as good as the version with Nancy Sinatra.  Those two would have an '8' from me - this version gets a '4', and that's mostly because it's an intrinsically good song.
