Blue, blue is as evening
out on my own in Copenhagen.
True, it's true that I used to want to be alone
in Copenhagen.
Time, time is a guarantee that all will change.
Now it feels strange.
Truth, the truth is there's no one else here to blame
in all of Copenhagen.

I used to be able to do everything myself.
But now I think I need a little help.

Time, time is a guarantee that all will end.
So maybe each time I begin to look.
I look to be safe and small in your arms
in all of Copenhagen.

I used to be able to do everything myself.
But now I think I need a little help.

I used to be able to do everything myself.
But now I think I need a little help.
I used to do everything I wanted on my own.
But now I don't want to be alone.

No,no,no,no,no..
I don't want to be alone

No,no,no..
I want to be alone

Hi bluematrix,

I'm glad you're open to both versions. They are like two different paintings of a scene.

It's so cool to have an artist respond to comments...! I love the sound of the vocals... Reminds me a little of Vienna Teng's effects
What a great groove on this one...I've rated it at a 9 sometime ago....will need to check out the uptempo mix now too....Long Live RP!!
I love this song.

Cool version. Big fan of the uptempo, more acoustic guitar version, but this is nice too in a completely different way. Pretty awesome the band is commenting here too. RP is such a great place to hang out.

(and a little unsolicited plug for RP shwag, just got my new RP hoodie in the mail... its thick and comfy and has already ignited a cool conversation at a local coffee shop.)

I prefer the regular mix, but this one is nice too. Maybe more so in a proper downtempo set rather than as a single in an RP playlist?

Hi ziggytrix,

One thing I've witnessed and heard is that in the right DJ's hands and ears they can segue using either version and it can blend.

Sometimes it is the stark contrast that makes a piece of music stand out. It depends on the DJ's vision.

It's always good to hear that a person has taken the time to listen and be affected in some way. Let's see if a "down tempo" version of "Blue", which this is, resonates with you over time.

Hi squidish,

If it makes you feel any better, I wish I could sing and write lyrics like Tina as well ;-).

I just took notice of Euphoria here on RP a couple of weeks ago, got excited and spent the remains of my iTunes balance on their stuff.  What I've loved about this song in its original form is the sense of ugency in the instrumentation and its striking contrast with the calm introspective lyrics.  That energy is gone here.  That is not to say this is bad, I just have to hear it a few more times to listen to it on its own terms.

Dear Typesbad,

Anna Ternheim's version is just so superior, I can't enjoy this properly.  It's good, but pales in comparison

Dear w3weasel,

As co composer of this track, I regret to inform you that to my knowledge, Ms.Ternheim has not done a cover version of "Blue" in any form.

If she did, I would love to know about it and hear it.

Thanks Jota. It's great people like yourself have responded well to the original and its variations.

There is a fine "Ballad Mix" as well.

This is quite superb.

Its the sort of track for a sunny day wandering around a festival and passing a tent where this floats out and holds me there for a slow sexy dance with Mrs Squiddly.

"Tunabeats", the remixer, is also an excellent drummer so he has a good feel for the hypnotic. Pete Lockett, who played the tablas is a good match with "Tunabeats", they have worked a lot together.

Thanks for the kind words about the remix!

1) This is no sample.
2) Ms. Dico and the remixers are credited and are co writers on the "EUPHORIA REMIX EP".
