By the time I got your letter I had lost my mind
I was trippin'
"When you gettin' better?"
It's a jagged line
Nothin' lasts forever when you travel time
I've been sippin' that cool aid of the cosmos

'Cause The Voyagers in every boy and girl
If you wanna get to heaven get out of this world
The Voyagers in every boy and girl

When it finally hit me I did not cry
'cause I was at the 7/11 flippin' through The New York Times
I saw it printed in black and white- The Voyager goes up in smoke

The Voyagers in every boy and girl
if you wanna get to heaven get out of this world
You're the Voyager
You're the Voyager

You scared me straight
right into your arms
ah-oh
ah-oh-oh
ah-oh
ah-oh-oh
ah-oh

The Voyagers in every boy and girl
If you wanna get to heaven get out of this world
you're The Voyager
you're The Voyager
Hey
you're The Voyager
you're The Voyager
I'm the Voyager

New York Times at the 7/11? Not no more

NICE! I like a lot of her tunes!
How would one differentiate this from...........First Aid Kit?
Sorry but zzzzzz.  Caught her act opening for her friend Beck at Red Rocks.  Like this song, couldn't wait till it was over
" 'cause I was at the 7/11 flippin' through The New York Times"

And there you can put down without a paywall!!!

Adds an air of mystery, don't you think?
Shes' wearing that jacket in her bio photo.

Can I have an extra birthday, too?
I like that she has 2 birthdates.  I hope that gets resolved.
Great song, one of my favorites on RP.
this song belongs in lost space
I like this song, but it could do with a bit more band involvement. To my ears, her voice isn't as engaging the production suggests it is.
Very pretty tune!

Especially if you count her time as a child-actress on shows like Webster, Mr. Belvidere, The Golden Girls, and Growing Pains in the 1980's.

I suppose growing pains in the 1980s are not as bad as growing pains elsewhere or elsewhen

Love that song, a song to kiss someone to.

Sounds like First Aid Kit.

I think, collectively, this is bad advice B_E.
Diggin' that Xylophone!
Another groove-killing tune. {#Naughty}
I like the atmosphere that JL is making. I try not to attach to closely to the lyrics. They are vague enough to be serene. I could see myself liking this for awhile and then getting REAL sick of it quickly. That's kinda what happens to me if I like a tune right from the get go. We'll see.
Worse than First Aid Kit

In the right mood this song can do some serious soul shifting.

Agreed! And for me right now, it's a 4 rating song. I can see, being in the mood, giving an 8. I'll average that to a 6, which is what the other 550 ratings average to - which is fitting.
She shouldn't write songs under heavy drug influence.
cool tune, excellent voice ... IMHO :)

In the right mood this song can do some serious soul shifting.
no
Neko Case-ish?

Everybody in my galactic presidential campaigns loves this groovy song...  we love sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll...  time flies when we're having fun...  hope life is grand for you right this minute, fredriley...

For a second I thought this was Jerry Lewis, I think he sang better.{#Drunk}
I feel that this song has been played more than 3 times a month...

There's no justice in voting. This song is beautiful. At least an 8.

I love this song!
Have to admit, I'm mildly obsessed with this song. It's not her best work, it's a little corny, but there's something about it.
Aww C'mon! At least 7.5...
Bon Voyage!!!
Trite.
"If you wanna get to heaven get out of this world"

You've got that right, missy! {#Sunny}

Agreed.  This track doesn't do much for me either.  Maybe the rest of the album is better?

That jacket takes four AAA batteries in order to maintain that glow.  I had one just like it, but it seems to look better on Ms. Lewis.
Hey, I, for one, enjoy this "If you want to go to heaven Boys'n Guuurls, you gotta leave this wuuurld".
Neato.
Play it again Bill !
hardly ecclectic  {#Ask}
My rating just plummeted to 1. Sorry, Jenny

edit:  now an instant PSD before the singing starts.  I hope.

I'm starting to like this song a lot, interesting interview with her in the NYT:

The album gets better with each listen: https://www.npr.org/2014/07/20/331347295/first-listen-jenny-lewis-the-voyager
been waiting a long time for a new one from her!
I like the lyrics
This song is good for the external auditory meatus...
First take on this one is a 6. Need to hear it a few more times to see which direction it will go.
