You wanted to love, but you didn't know how
That's okay, it's up to you now
It got so bad to where I wouldn't allow
But no more, it's up to you now

Let you go so you could go...
Go to town
It's up to you now
It's up to you now

You smoke cigarettes and you act like a clown if you want
It's up to you now
You do what you like and now you wonder why they're gone
It's up to you now

Let you go so you could go...
Let you go so you could go...
It's up to you now

This band does nothing new, and what little they have to offer is throttled by the most cynical production known to current recording techniques. Finding this sort of music enjoyable is a clear indication that your state of mind resembles balloons attached to a hatstand.

How sweet. A meaningless comment with a cutesy little insult. Classy.
I looked up "meh" and found this song.
That's better

Love reading all the negative posts - why not attach a link to a track you have made and we can all critique it ?

You don't have to be a cook to know that what you're eating is shit.

So it's not Robert Fripp playing, who cares?
It's still enjoyable as a whole.

EDIT: As I was writing this, the guitar 'solo' started - that was somewhat painful  , but I still stand by 'enjoyable as a whole'.

Mmmm, Crunchie!

Right.  If you don't have the same taste in music as ppoop, you're stupid.  Didn't you know?

So what? They have an original sound; catchy songs. Is RP playing your song? Can we hear your not so rudimentary guitar work? You do realize that there are many musicians who are much better than those we hear here and radio. That part is irrelevant. It's about being different, new, and catchy. This band has those qualities but evidently you're not able to see it.

Yeah, he seems to thrive on the rudimentary, lo-fi, muffled, retro sound.  It's gotten pretty tiresome to me but they're having fun and lots of folks like it, I guess.

Thought it was gonna be Santana's cool and relevent "Pinche Migre;" found out it was this derivative. TBK have a jam or two, but; nah.
pretty rudimentary guitar work here

Funny - some part of the song brought back memories of Rammstein's Engel:) that whistling and guitar riffs
{#Cowboy}
These guys have a 60s sound too...like the troggs..or the seeds.  the 'fuzzy' sound is intentional
poseurs
mr. brownstone at the intro no?

It's like there's a flannel shirt hanging over mike or speakers or both...

Even this is better than his Arcs project - the album sounds like a quickly-turned out set of demos to my ears.  I have listened to it a few times but the crummy sound means that it gets tiresome really quickly.
Industrial-strength. 7 to 8.

And the White Stripes with the obvious name and the guitar/drum duo schtick.

I think that's the sound they were going for - actually, I think it was a chamois shirt.

In my mind's eye - It is several shirts, and they all belong to groupies.
"Garage Rock" Lives!!
Today I'm hearing Stranded In the Jungle.

The David Johanson version.
Increasing the size of the album cover and then scrolling up and down is doing fun things on my monitor.  {#Dancingbanana_2}{#Bananasplit}{#Dancingbanana_2}

Cool track, too.
Great sound.. but definitely too heavy for this time of the day..We have late morning {#Laughing}
Low-fidelity, low-quailty music with annoying vocals. TBK stock-in-trade.

I almost like it and then I hear lots of reasons to not like it.

Good music, but the singing is more annoying than Sting and Chris Martin rolled into one. And they are played to ****ing death on rp.
love it !{#Bananajam}
One must realize that played live, this must be purely deafening. Earplugs advised.
I've given this album a few listens now and no growth.  I'm afraid it's time to say it's not me it's you.  What happened to you Black Keys - you used to be cool.

Yep, I can imagine this, though no longer in the UK with the smoking ban. Don't forget the sticky carpet and guys with tattoos on their necks...

So far, a dreamier and less crunchy album than their previous effort, so it might take a bit of listening to really take off in Riley Towers, but worth the effort I reckon.

Although I was at the Brixton Academy not that long ago and loads of people were smoking in the audience - cigarettes, joints and pipes - but mostly mostly cigarettes. It was like the old days!
This is just OK. Nothing too great here.

Spot on!!
...reminds me a bit of the black angels, as does the album cover!..
Mr. cab driver won't stop to pick me up...
I wonder how long it will be before I hear what this album sounds like rather than only hearing what it doesn't sound like?
Definitely like this more than other tracks I've heard from the new album..
