My friend, my friend
This life is long
This life is short
Manage it in a certain way
The way that suits you

What you desire, I desire it as well
From the depth of my heart, I accept it
Everywhere I go, I'll think about it

Isis is an ancient Egyptian god, and the ancient Egyptians were well into cat worship, so it's a good name for a moggy. If she really rocks to music then she's one unusual pussy - all those I've had have shown insouciant indifference to whatever's coming out of my stereo.

I've got a "Moggy"...'62 Morgan 4/4...BTW, the Morgan dealership in San Francisco
is named Isis Motors...

Fy faan !
This tune got my feet moving.
It has that (kinda) Baby Please Don't Go riff. Very little (nothing) new under the sun, right?

Really? This is the segue from Joni? No thank you.

Tear up the amps with a knife to get that tone...
Do I hear an old blues riff in there?
Gotta have that daily hit of Bombino I guess.

I gave this a 10 from the first listen. But well done for letting the magic seep into your soul :)

I recognize that. The overwhelming feeling a song can give you, hearing it for the first time and going to the heart right away (where it may stay for ever).
Do you hear Yanni or Laurel?  For me this is a 1, for others it's a 9.  It's just how we hear things differently.

I love this song!

Excellent music!  African music has such a beautiful sound.
Bombino is fantastic. This is Tuareg blues...what a wonderful world we live in.
Abrasive music. Think squeeking chalk on a chalk board sounds better.

It does get played frequently eh?  But the north Africa stuff is good.
Super plus duper!

Thanks Fred, I'm going to put the word "insouciant" in my back pocket for a very special occasion.
Lemme guess - the producer for The Black Keys is responsible for this?
reminds me of "Pushing To Hard."

At times like this I recommend Floydstory or Acid Flashback or Psychedelic Jukebox

It would appear by viewing the distribution of your ratings that you hate most songs.

There is nothing even remotely funny in the ISIS topic.

It seems that the person to whose post you are responding disliked the vocals, not the lyrics - the sound, not the content.

Haaaaa - nice comparison! Some truth in it, now that I know it!
Smiling!

It is about their old TUAREG trade of robbing peaceful trans-Saharan caravans
and beheading their participants!

ISIS rocks!
This is on regular rotation at Poacher Mansions - and usually played LOUD

Thanks to whoever found and uploaded this.
I've just read Bombino's profile on Wikipedia, as advised by Bill on air : impressing indeed !

It makes me glad to have heard him from Africa through USA to my far away little Belgium ;)

the more I hear it the better I like it ... depending on my mood!  Today it's a 6.
Decent tune, but played way too often.

Upon closer inspection, the pinched ends of the exhaust pipes give it away as being a early vintage CB 500 Four.  Still a very cool album cover along with the Fender Strat riding shotgun.

Dig the song too!

Geeez, only heard this yesterday!! Loop has obviously come around far too soon!!! Come Bill, we need a new loop! {#Eh}
Nigerian Tom Petty! Cool!!
Fantastic. Clicked the link and bought the CD.

Hurrah!
Fresh, fine and 'fast', much thanks for the 'charge' Radio Paradise. Will add to own eclectic collection as soon as possible. :)

I guess this is how you say "Black Keys" in Tuareg.

Love it!
Love the guitar!
High Sierra next week!!
Massive grower.

Dan Auerbach's influence is really obvious in this track, but in a good way!!

Cool track, my wife refers to him as Bill's favourite Nomad.
Definitely digable! Start with a 7.
...a nice start to a sunny Sunday morning - not sure if it will  grow on me or not though...{#Think} ...

......does remind me of music I heard in India years ago...
This is really amped up for Afro style pop! Very cool.

This whole CD is fabulous.
Quite as empty as a Manu Chao "song".
Just moved up from 6 to 8. Growing on me.
This whole recording is (nearly) this awesome.
I love this!
Now were cooking with gas! I'm gonna buy this guy's CDs!
Thanks, Bill. Love Bombino.
Welcome to RP, you kick ass song!
