I like to have at least one good Bonobo a day

🤣😅
I quite like Bonobo but for some reason I find this song really annoying!
I just love the guinea pigs on this track. Weep! Weep! :o)
Really like the upbeat tempo on this one from Bonobo.

We are at cafe iguana now ,common on
I don't think I know this artist , it sounds very adventures , I like it
I love the guinea pig chorus :o)
I was doing my internship at Ninja Tune LA last year, and they made a party to celebrate the end of the year. Bonobo was deejing, it was awesome!
Nice use of the chop saw cutting a single 2x4 in two!
Listening to this with decent headphones. Wow! The bass is great, and there's so much going on. Need to indulge in mind altering substances and listen again 😊
t i m e stretch drums
Mikey likes it
I believe The Beatles put a dog whistle in background of Sgt Peppers, I couldn't hear it but my dog would perk up.

My dogs just keep tilting their heads and barking at the walls.

I have this album and when it's on rotation / shuffle, I'm always checking to see who it is. Very diverse sound and groove across the whole album. Great in concert, too. Quite bombastic.

And, Yes, it does sound like "So Flute" from St. Germain in parts.

Outstanding bassline halfway. Love this groovy track, along with some more tracks from this album.

I feel like I hear this on RP everyday, is it just me? It sounds like something you would hear when put on hold
seems to go on forever, next time psd
Sounds a bit like more recent Radiohead. That's a good thing for me.
Annoying!!!!  I give it a 2

That whistling is really irritating.

Or a bonobo, perhaps.

Black Sands is possibly the best Bonobo album to date. This is among my favorite tracks on the album, though not the most favorite one. I'm going to see him live in a few weeks at the SF Warfield, should be a great show.
very bad!
Something about this song reminds me of this outstanding Depeche Mode cover band from Colombia's version of Everything Counts

I'm glad you like it so much, as do I, but as someone who, sadly, lived through the musical wasteland that was the 70s, I don't think it sounds like anything that came out in those days. Way too funky and minimalist compared to the bloated progrock that dominated the alternative music scene in that decade.

I must get this album, not just for the music but for the Lake District scene on the cover which I know very well indeed (Derwent Water from Castlerigg campsite). And for the guinea pigs backing to this song :o)

Actually I was thinking it sounds  a lot like Tull, one of the few bands I liked in the 70's.  I used to think the 70's were a musical wasteland - until the 90's came.  Now I realize there has been a lot of excellent rock music throughout all its history - we just aren't always lucky enough to have access to it.  Which is why I love RP so much!  We get to hear all of it, including that which we missed the first time around.
Love groovin' to this in the kitchen while preparing dinner!
This whole album is great.

That guy playing all the flutes and stuff in this band is GREAT! Been to them in Amsterdam in the Melkweg and these guys rock on a live stage!!!

Sounds like not to everyone's taste but I LOVE this - straight in at an 8. If rest of album is this good then I'll be buying it. Thanks RP.

It is. As is his earlier stuff. I have no hesitation in recommending all his work if you like this. Enjoy!
Sweet Friday groove. Thanks.

I was enjoying this song thinking the flutes were sampled. Even cooler knowing it's for real.

Well I've recently developed an interest in this kind of music thanks to Bonobo's Black Sands (which I first heard on RP obviously) and God Is An Astronaut's Remembrance Day, but I kinda shifted more towards GIAA than Bonobo, because only a handful songs from the album Black Sands were good. Sadly, this one's not among them.
What's this?

I think that was part of my initial attraction to this song, as well.

Yes, that is a great groove - nice bass line..  It's got really cool layering and syncopation without sounding "labored".  Nice stuff.

Bonobo apes are way cool - our nearest ape relative, and very much a 'make love not war' species. This band carries that vibe on. All the songs/tunes I've heard from them on here have put a smile on my face and tap in my toes. An immediate 8 from the Nottingham jury. Love the guinea pigs in the background too :o)

Hahahahaha! Guinea Pigs. That's great! They just need to find a way to throw in that muffled machine gun noise they make.

This kicks. Never heard of them, but I'm now a buck poorer thanks to the Bill/iTunes double whammy.
Love the bass feel here.
