I bought this album as a direct result of Radio Paradise years ago and I still play it often. It is a masterpiece. . . well, for my ears anyway.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Great Band!{#Clap}
Everyone between my headphones loves this music
Love it - and the clever album cover, too!

King Sunny Ade was to have toured N America, but the total FU in the Immigration Dept computor dept wrecked all those plans for this summer. Cancelled.

Cooo-"L".  Really!

This is soooo cool...  love it!

Totally agree, Orchestra have a lovely groove, and a beautiful tone, especially the lead guitarist who is fine, fine, fine.

If you like this, you'll definitely want to check out Orchestra Baobab, a legendary Senegalese band with Cuban influences. I particularly like their great guitar play.

Ha!  Reminds me of my trip to Hawaii.  After going through the well known tropical drinks, Mia Tia, Mojito, Blue Hawaiian, Volcano, et al., I started ordering my drinks by color.
Me:  Bartender!  I'll have a green and red drink please!
Bartender staring blankly at me for a few seconds.
Me:  Your choice of drink just green and red.
Bartender:  Ohh!  (Chuckle or laugh, goes away to mix and concoct) How's this?
And for the most part is was usually something good.

I love that idea — I'm going to steal it!
Awesomo!!

Very nice.
Hmmm... thought I liked them and it was a nice transition from El Chicano.  This one tired quickly though.

Edit: I see that I rated a couple of their songs pretty high so it's just that I don't care that much for this one.

Reminds me a bit of acid jazz.....which I'm not sure is allowed here....but that's okay.  {#Biggrin}

Very cool - a Latinized version of music I heard wafting out of downtown Kampala 15 years ago while visiting Makerere University. Beautiful stuff to me. Brings back a particularly valuable and longstanding memory. Thanks RP! I give this a 7 but it will likely end up an 8 or a 9 eventually.
Was doing some Photoshop work on a computer in another room, listening to some Bollywood tracks (just because!)  and walked in to my office to hear this. Nice.  On an eclectic roll, I think...
