The open road, the path of greatness
It's at your fingers
Go be the one that keeps on fighting
Go be the stranger
Just put your foot in front the other
Crow like a rooster
Be all in all, together something
Fear is a danger
I say

Spill on the streets of stars
Ride away
Find out what you are
Face to face

The windows are the perfect picture
They're always changing
Go on, get lost, jump in the waters
When they are raging
I say

Spill out on the streets of stars
Ride away
Find out what you are
Face to face
Once you've had enough
Carry on
Don't forget to love
Before you're gone

I am just one of those who can't stand this guy's voice.
beautiful!
IN THE BEGINNING, I was intrigued as to why a group would call themselves after such a controversial name from the epic Spanish work El Cid, but the music is intensely great, and utterly captivating, and, I learned that their name is their own paternal uncles' name, so perhaps it is rather Castilian and epic, after all...

Disagree on the sounding the same part, but certainly agree that CC is sucko-barfo

I really like KOL, but this is hilarious.

 {#Lol} Bump!

KOL have some good songs, but I do not care for this one.
I just don't care for this group

KOL is good stuff...  But there older stuff is MUCH better... but this is still good... maybe it cuz I started listening to them before they made this more radio ready stuff... but still good.

Hahahahaha!  Indeed.

I was never a fan of KOL b/c radio oveplayed "Use Somebody" and "Sex on Fire."  But I recently saw them play live and they've definitely grown on me.  I've since downloaded their latest album and many of their back catalog of songs.  Like someone else posted, some of the recent stuff is maybe ho-hum, but check out their older stuff.  They have more of a raw, unpolished sound reminiscent of grungy, dirty Southern rock.  If you listen to their old stuff and progress to the newer stuff, you can hear the maturity in their sound, from the lyrics to the rhythms.  They're almost like a totally different band.  Love it.

I was thinking Flock of Seagulls.
Thanks RP for playing Kings Of Leon.   I heard them on Saturday Night Live for the first time last year and loved them.
Meh.

I am really trying, but this band just doesn't do it for me
Every song sounds the same

Everything from Because of the Times to Only by the Night, to this new one...  all sound alike.  However, their older stuff (Holy Roller Novocaine, What I Saw, Youth and Young Manhood, Ah Shake Heartbreak) have a completely different sound.  Much more rock-a-billy almost.  Highlights would be Molly's Chambers and The Bucket.

Maybe it's the day, but that's the funniest thing I've read around here in a while. {#Lol}

Yeah yeah, I know. I should shut up when I type. Nevertheless....

These guys so don't do it for me
I want to like these guys, their tunes are mostly likeable, but the lead guitarist uses the same rifs over and over throughout their songs.  And the lead singer is distinctive, but not in a good way.  Not intolerable, but gets more and more annoying with each song.

Me too - just the other way - sorry.  I'm a big non-fan.  I don't get them at all.  Everything from the grating vocals to the mediocre music.  Oh yeah, and the lyrics - bleh.
At least I can still skew the average rating...

Ok, I liked Aha Shake Heartbreak.  Loved Because of the Times.  Thought they completely sold out on Only By the Night.  So far I'm digging this.

yes!
{#Cheers} sundowners!

OK, so as the sign in name implies...BIG fan of this band. However, unlike a lot of fans like me who have loved them since the beginning, I do not have a problem with the direction they're going in and find this album to be really really, it's a "grower" for sure ;)) As for this tune, the melody in the Chorus is just amazing...love it.
