Ophelia, your secret is safe
Ophelia, you must break the chain
Some girls will get their way
Some fathers will control from the grave
Ophelia, you must remember

Veronica's America
Is not like, is not like Charlotte's
One to savour, cosmic flavour
Then Alison whispers, "Remember
Change waltzes in with her Sister Pain
Waiting for you to send her away
Wish her well, break the chain
Break the chain"

Ophelia, I feel you
Ophelia, "The Eve of Saint Agnes"
A poem he can't reach you in
Ophelia, you know how to lose
But when will you learn to choose
Those men who choose to stay
Those mothers who won't look the other way
Ophelia, you must remember

Veronica's America
Is not like, is not like Charlotte's
One to savour, cosmic flavour
Then Alison whispers, "Remember
Change waltzes in with her Sister Pain
Waiting for you to send her away
Wish her well, break the chain
Break the chain"

Ophelia
Ophelia, I feel you
Remember

Exactly!

Just because it’s crap doesn’t mean it’s because she’s female.
Love her voice and [you heard it here first!] love her too! Particularly like this album!
do not enjoy the 'screech' in her voice, spoils a few of her songs for me

Uh, no, I like a ton of female artists.  This one happens to suck.  Keep your virtue signaling to yourself.

A person could be a misogynist, but their criticism would be misogynistic.  If you want to play a card at least get the word correct.  And really, all this PC BS has really become ridiculous.  I can't say that I don't like Tori's because she's a woman now?  Or is it the making fun of her name that some are doing here?  Are names so delicate now that we can't play with them?  Personally, I see that as juvenile rather that hateful.  I see most of the criticism on here is actually about the direction of her career.  If the same was said about a male artist or band would you complain that we aren't being sensitive enough to them as well?  I could rant a bunch and virtue signal the crap out of this issue, but I doubt it would help.  Let's just say that we as humans have the right to express ourselves and that we should TRY to understand others opinions, but ultimately, being offended is a personal choice.
Classic Tori, love it.

@bbryan - are you there?  Nine years later - too late to call 911?

RIP bbryan.

I rather enjoy this song, but have to say it might have the widest voting record of any song I've ever seen.  All the way from 0 to 10...and not one "number" stands out as getting the most votes.

Not bad!
can't help but think of this painting from the 1850s:

"It's not like Charlotte, one to savour, 'cos McFlavour"? {#Stupid}

Lovely song and singer, though. 8 from the Nottingham jury which would appreciate it more with a deeper knowledge of Shakespeare.

Shut up!,sit down!!

Ophelia is a character in Hamlet

I agree with you, Angie. Something tells me Tori is not listening, however.

Just not feeling it with any of the songs on this album. She seems to be losing her touch.

Some crazy chick from Hamlet.

Don't speak for me Stave.  I've never cared for her work or her voice.

Kate Bush wanna be.
Very odd how the rating for this song is very much multi-modal (1 and 10)...
Poor song had to follow Scarborough Fair.

I concur that more variety is better. However, in fairness to Bill, and for what it's worth, not all the songs stored in the library actually get played.

After reading your comment I double checked and found that, while there are 8 songs from the latest Doves album in the library, one of them hasn't been played. So that makes 7 songs from Kingdom of Rust in rotation. For Neko Case, all 8 songs have been played but it looks like one song has only been played 3 times. I think that Bill would like to add more of the unplayed library songs to the rotation but, as anyone who works  in IT knows,  it's a safe bet that he has to spend a lot of his time putting out fires and expanding the flexibility of the station - such as creating a new version for mobile devices. He's only one guy and keeping the station up and running must take up a lot of his time.

I'm a big fan of Tor-mi Anus's older stuff and have seen her twice in concert but having a hard time warming up to this.....
Wow, weird ratings distribution. In the battle of the 10s vs the 1s, it's the 10s by a hair. (I give it an 8)
Sounds like a bunch of cats having their tails rolled on with rocking chairs! Arghh, truly bad music....

There are may stations out there that don't play, or even know of, Tori.
Go there now, and stay there, please!!!!

A little of the Redhead never hurts.

How come we don't hear songs from the rest of the album?  Is RP only allowed to play particular ones? Only 3 or 4 from this album appear to be in rotation.  I was just curious how that works.

They could leave out those 3 or 4 as well and I would be good with that!{#Wink}

SCREECHING {#Lol}  like that word! #2

Then Alison whispers," remember

Oh, Tori, your lyrics break my heart. I love you.

entirely possible that I'm missing something because lord knows that happens with me from time to time, but this just seems to be boring
Awful.  Enough of this, thanks.
Ordinarily I like Tori, but not this track. Not enough to warrant a sucko-barfo, but that could easily change if this gets into regular rotation.

All Star ... All Time ... Amazing woman!

I thought it was McFlavor, too, at first, but then looked up the lyrics {#Smile}

I am so-o-o-o glad that my computer has an easily accessibile MUTE button. The screeching of Tori Amos sends creepy-crawlies up my back.
While I sometimes wish there was an '11' rating for some outstanding artists, I also wish there were a below zero rating for the likes of TA.
damn. i thought she had hung it up.
Like this much better so far than her last album
See how I feel a year from now, but she's starting to head into the Meatloaf "Bombastic Rock" area
McFlavor?
Could this song get a melody or something. It is so bad.

{#Daisy}Love, love, love Tori. This album isn't even released yet.  Thank you so much for playing this.{#Daisy}
                                             ......May 19....get this album....

Thanks Bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I absolutely love Tori's older stuff, some of her newer albums have been hit-or-miss. I like what I've heard off this new one so far, and hope that the whole thing is this good.

Tori is Back!!

Awesome song - can't wait for the rest of the album. You rock, Bill.{#Clap}
