If you touch me, I just think I'll scream
Because it's been so long since someone challenged me
And made me think about the way things are
Made me think about the way they could be

I believe in love
My love, oh my love
I don't even know why

Oh, this feeling is wonderful
Don't you ever turn it off
Oh, this feeling is wonderful
Don't you ever turn it off

I believe it
Why? oh my
Oh my lord
Oh my lord
I don't even know why, but

Oh, this feeling is wonderful
Don't you ever turn it off
Oh, this feeling is wonderful
Don't you ever turn it off

Feelings
Why? Oh my
Human needs. heartbeats
I can see it
By the way you smile
I'm smiling too
I see myself in you

I am with it
Oh man, I am wired
Oh my lord, oh my lord
Yeah, now I really know why

Oh, this feeling is wonderful
Don't you ever turn it off
Oh, this feeling is wonderful
Don't you ever turn it off

Santana followed by My Morning Jacket.... same a week ago....
RP just repeating programming?

how does a DJ go from Santana to My Morning Jacket? Like a master. I love RP!
This takes me beyond  my "place" Love it.
Great till the silly fadeout.  Still, PSD gets me another beauty so we're all winners.  Today, that's "Dust Bowl" by Joe Bonamassa.  Sweet.
Three plays in the last 30 days? Nope. Three plays this week alone, I marked it on the calendar because I thought it was being overplayed. And it is. Please drop this back into occasional rotation. It's just terrible.

Thanks RP for playing this song and give me sensations in my brain and body namaste from the internet
They are masters of reverb!  Good stuff.
Time to see what's on SOMA FM this morning.

same here...bumped to a 9 just now!  The intro reminds me of an old NES game;  Castlevania comes to mind because of the new show on Netflix.  To my ears at least this track sounds a lot like an 8-bit game's soundtrack.  And at the end I get a total "Riders on the Storm" vibe...which I (as a huge Doors fan) really like.

With a voice like that, it must adrenalize him to stand in front of the microphone and belt it out. Out-of-this-world awesome.
One of many great songs by this awesome band...fantastic live too

This is the song that "grabbed" me too.  Now I find I listen to MMJ almost daily!  Thanks, RP!

Yes I agree, number7.  Been hearing this song here for quite some time until finally the other day it sent me to Rhapsody to check out the rest of their catalogue...really glad I did.  Another great RP discovery for me!

Is there such thing as a subliminal mondegreen?  Given, subliminal was planted, and mondegreen is the planet.

Bass lines are complementary to the rest of the tune.
The other instrumentation may do all the heavy lifting, leaving little work for the baseline.
In other songs where the bass line might be much more complex, the rest of instrumentation may be much simpler.
One must never overdo it, or it may become a real mess.

Well said my friend. It's about what the song needs, not the instrumentation.

It's probably how they wanted the bass line to sound; it fits in the song - precise and driving with a minimum of emphasized notes.  If he were playing some kind of Jack Bruce/John Entwhistle riffs or playing a syncopated off-beat like James Jamerson, it would detract from the tempo and flow of the song...or that's probably what the producer told them.  You are probably not a musician, are you?

Still so fresh and fun, with that wonderful chord change!  Love it
The song may end now. Get off the keyboards.  Thank you.
Easily my favorite song these days.

Wonderful tune for a couple's first dance at their wedding when that couple are big MMJ fans.  Just experienced that this past weekend. When the chorus volume picked up my friend shouted out, everyone come dance with us - and we all did.

Quite like the simple electronic music. Reminds me bit of the 80s.
Beginning and end drag nastily, vocals are a little shabby at times, but there is something rather special about this song.
This song drags on and on... Like bad circus music....

Awesome set Goldbergs!

After hearing MMJ on RP, I bought the LP on Amazon.  Wow, a very cool album for those of us who appreciate new stuff, '70's British heavies like The Kinks, Stones, Bowie, The Who, and then a healthy dose of Prog Rock.

Yea, yea, I see those comments below, dissing MMJ.  I don't agree, I totally dig this album and thank RP for us on to it  2-thumbs-up!!
Where's Autotune when you need it ?!?
consumption of MMJ needed to find this enjoyable!

I agree, don't understand all the hyperbole.
Wow! Three 10s --  Pixies' Where Is My Mind, Garbage's #1 Crush, and MMJ -- in a row! Thanks for this amazing set Bill!
I'm going to scream: I love this song!
HAHAHAH Man the sucks!!
Other Lives meets Arcade Fire meets Turin Brakes.
One of the more interesting contributions to the "Black Cab Series" is just a couple of the MMJ guys recreating a VERY scaled back version of this song squeezed into the back of a cab. Mostly Jim James amazing voice and a little musical gizmo box with a drum track and little musical pad...  very cool{#Cheers}
This is the first MMJ song I've heard that I actually enjoyed.
