It was me on that road
But you couldn't see me
Too many lights out
But nowhere near here

It was me on that road
Still you couldn't see me
And then flashlights and explosions

Roads are getting nearer
We cover distance but not together

I am the storm and I am the wonder
And the flashlights nightmares
And sudden explosions

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What I have and what I ache for

I've got a golden ear
I cut and I spear
And what else is there

Roads are getting nearer
We cover distance still not together

If I am the storm if I am the wonder
Will I have flashlights nightmares
And sudden explosion

There's no room where I can go and
You've got secrets too

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

I had no idea the original was from Röyksopp; I've been hearing / listening to a cover by Norwegian err. Progressive black metal? band Enslaved for a while, it seems really popular on Spotify for them. I can't post links though.

I LOVE the Trentemoller remix - this Youtube comment sums it up, "Isn't this awesome. Swedish singer featuring in a Norwegian band's song remixed by a Dane. A complete Scandi package."

Hehehe
Based on my past, nothing by this band should work for me. But somehow I have been drawn in by the synth-heavy approach and thudding drumming. I am a fan of this album; all worth the visit.

Also her very haunting lyrics used on Vikings series.

Been listening to RP since 2012. The 1st time I was in Gimmelwald, Switzerland, from the balcony of my hotel while looking at the mountains.

Thanks you again RP!!! Of course I've heard of Royksopp before but when I heard Fever Ray vocals it made me sit up and look at/ listen to them  them in more detail, all their stuff is so different.  Now I have even more 'new' stuff to listen to.  You keep opening my ears! {#Roflol}
I like it! Yes, she does sing a lot like Fever Ray and Bjork. The lyrics of this are as enigmatic, deep, thought-provoking, and mysterious as their sound, too. It's definitely got a hypnotic Scandinavian thing going on I really dig! Thanks, RP!
Spooky video

Björk is from Island, Röyksopp from Norway, approx. 1000 Miles distance, so it depends, what horizon you have/use.

I know I'm in a very small minority here, but the singer's voice grates on me to the point that I have to resist the urge to switch away from RP.  And I do enjoy Bjork and Fever Ray, so I dunno.

"Great song! Unusual voice!" (according to Google Translate).

I thought this was Bjork. Unusual voice, yes. Am trying to figure out how much I like the song.
The first time I tune in after being in Chicago for several days and what is playing but the group that was thundering the Loop last Sunday night from Millennium Park. From a distance the music has a compelling drive, but there was a sameness to each piece. Still, it was pretty amazing to be in a heavily populated urban park on a hot August night with this group as the soundtrack.

It is a bit more in depth than as you have placed it. In a matter of music it is a reference as if what if. What if Lennon never met McCartney. What if Gilmour never met Waters. What if Frey never met Henley. What if Bjork met the creative one of Depeche Mode.
This "perhaps" is what it would have sounded like. Some of us music lovers, at times just thinking of our own interest, hang on to the thought of "what if ". Since today is John Lennon's birthday, some wonder "what if".

The singer is a guest vocalist named Karin Dreijer Andersson (AKA Fever Ray).  Sorry I can't help you with the pronunciations. :)

Found Royksopp (& Karin) on the director of this video's Vimeo site.  Beautiful video. While I really enjoy Royksopp, I've found that it was Karin's haunting, evocative, siren-song that's been leading my boat into adventurous waters.  When I Grow Up from the Fever Ray album is a great tune & video to check out as well.

They have another Killer video for "Happy Up Here"
