For a long time I missed a "80s Mix" at RP. That cheerful motivating party music... Of course I never dared to ask for it, I mean the makers of RP can of course choose their favourite music genres, and I understand when "Rock" (which I love too) is much more important than silly 80s dance music.
But now I sense some change - Blondie tracks like this add what I missed, it seems.

Glastonbury 1999: Blondie, Patti Smith and Marianne Faithful. All were wonderful. I seem to remember Blondie playing top ten hits (including Atomic) for an hour or more but Glastonbury was a bit like the sixties - if you remember it clearly, you probably weren't there.

I always thought the drumming of Blondie was excellent.
Saw Blondie at Uptown Theater in Kansas City, circa 1975. They opened for the Kinks, and I and everyone I knew that went, was there only for the Kinks. Blondie wasn't known much yet, at least not in KC.
Blondie stole the show. They were FUN. Ray Davies apparently decided that we needed to see anti-FUN. He was obviously wishing to be somewhere else.

I saw them only a few years ago in Belfast and I was amazed at how young and vigorous Clem Burke (the drummer) was. He really thumped those drums for the whole gig and his drum kit was on raised dias for all to see and he really put on a show. Sometime later I found out that he was born the same year as me but he looks 20 years younger!

I have this vinyl album & did not recognize the tune. I had to Google-ize it to hear it again. I should give it a spin again. Been many many years.

The melody in this song is transcendant. So beautiful...
