Cease to exist giving my goodbye
Driving my car into the ocean
You think I'm dead but I sail away

On a wave of mutilation

Kissed the mermaids rode the El Nino
Walk in the sand with the crustaceans
I've found my way to Mariana

I was just thinking of GLP a few songs back when Chris Isaak was playing... I'd love to hear the two of them harmonize.
If you're going to cover a song, at least pick a song worth covering.

Awesome...
Is that a ukelele?

I like it.
Seems based on the slower version (UK surf) of the Pixies song...

Another Pixie's fan bites the dust. Who's next? Anyone?

It may be dull and uninspired, but it mutilates a Pixie's song, and that's worth all the pain. As for why Bill keeps playing stuff we hate? It's his station, I expect him to play what he wants without much thought to how much we like it. I like it that way. So Bill, please keep making my ears bleed!

Same here. The Sea of Love will smote thee with a Wave of Mutilation for what you've done to this song, Grant-Lee.
This is the second song I've heard from this album, and it's not much better than the first. Looking at others' comments and ratings, I think most of RP is in agreement that this whole album really isn't worth keeping. Why Bill keeps playing it is beyond me.
Just Even if it wasn't an instant candidate for Worst Cover Ever, it would still be dull, uninspired music.
hey...this is kinda the way Frank plays it when he does solo acoustic...it's not the UK surf mix, but I can dig it..
Went from a 7 all the way down to hell as soon as I heard the original.
my first 1! :( something about this whole album bothers me.
It's got a certain Richard Cheese appeal. But maybe that's because I just got back from Vegas.

Well it's different, but it's not better. It's not clever either.
