Children lying in their beds.
Just remember what your mother said.
Don't you worry, don't you cry.
Little black flowers grow, in the sky.
In the sky.

Make a promise, cross your heart.
Kings X vow that we'll never part.
Sign in blood and hope to die.
Little black flowers grow, in the sky.
In the sky.

And I believed you.
I believed you when you said you would be mine.

Tell me mother, will I die.
Yes my child and so shall I.
And never know the reason why,
little black flowers grow, in the sky.
In the sky.

And I believed you.
I believed you when you said you'd cried,
believed you when you said you'd try,
believed you when you said you loved me too.

I believed you.
I believed you.
I believed you.

With Chris Isaak there is a little "slavic cow-boy soul" so nice. Love it
Agree. Saw him literally one week ago and was impressed with his stage presence. Obviously he is a very talented musician surrounded by talented musicians and expected as much. His wit and self-deprecating humor was a nice bonus. And he did a great job working the smallish crowd up.
One of the best live concerts EVER and I've seen a few.   Great band!

I'm probably stealing this remark from someone, but if Isaak ever has a good relationship, his career is over. ;)

Costello approves
nice tune

It's not like Chris Isaak didn't warn us that all men are liars. We have only ourselves to blame for getting in trouble believing 'em, over & over again. Or Nick Lowe warning us... first.

To what song does your comment relate?

OK, but I don't believe YOU.

Charmingly depressive is one way I would describe Isaak's style of singing. He always echoed Orbison's voice to my ears, with that haunted tone to his songs.

WONDERFUL SONG, CHRIS!

I always thought he played the twangy guitar but I went to see him in Hong kong of all weird places and it's some other guy.

Amusingly both he and the guitarist slept with one of the women who was in the party I went to the concert with.

Ummm...is this something she said? How do verify a claim like that?

(And just how hot was this woman?)
..hadn't heard this one from the Chrisser..not a fan, but not too shabby..maybe because it's quick/to the point (heh)..
I like the idea to place here some space coming from 2006. For the same reasons as the initial one
It did work at that time :)  Thanks dsr15
As for Chris Isaak, nice tune

Yikes. Need to fill in some space to get rid of those icky big red letters!

Did that work?

Chris Isaak as a talk show host for musicians on the Biography Channel should be interesting.
Love this guy, reminds me of Roy Orbison a little. {#Ask}

She slept with BOTH of them? That's a right box of assorted creams there.

{#Roflol}

The difficulty for a stylist such as Isaac is achieving a groove that doesn't sound like a whole lot like of others...not that I'm complaining, though. I like his stuff more and more.

Did they really sleep together? How sweet.

Um, could we not feed the trolls, please?
One of his rare 'dark' songs. A really good one at that.

BEST to you in 2006, AMERICANS! Regarding Chris Isaak! Yes, indeed, an incredible singer and outstanding song-writer (vice versa is true too). As a life performer he's beyond exellent, though it's a real pity he lost his long-time guitar player some years ago. I'd prefer Chris over Roy, if it's fair at all to compare them or their voices. Chris is GROOVY!!!! from Cologne in Germany, Stingray
Thanks, Borat.
chris is the BEST!! THE END.

The first time I saw Chris Issak, at Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco, he was the front man for Silvertone--before he went out under his own name. He put on a great show, and he already had star quality. He does have a tendency to write morose material...I prefer his rockers, like "Go Walking Down There".
I discovered Radio Paradise a week ago... and I've been waiting to hear Chris this whole time... wondering if he was "cool" enough to make the playlist. Thank You!!! Brian
Said to myself, "Man, this sounds like Chris Isaak." One of the best concerts I ever went to, says I. This was at a horrible venue in the parking lot of a Tahoe casino (Stateline, NV), but Chris and his excellent crew of musicians soon put the venue issues out of our minds. Go see him! I'm sorry I'm committed to another gig (Mark Knopfler) next week, otherwise we'd fly down to Phoenix to see him at the Celebrity Theater, one of the absolute best venues in existence. (Johnny Rivers and 1964~The Tribute both blew us away there!)
