Oh, I've hoped for comfort
But I've never felt too safe
And in this hard life
I've had to navigate
Through un-exhausted
Has been my virtue

Ooh, I've hoped for comfort
But I've never felt too safe
And in this hard life
I've had to navigate
Through un-exhausted
Has been my virtue

They set themselves against I
They set my pride on fire
Phoenix always rises high
Rebel crusader

Driven to decisions
They trapped me into
The revolution solution
Oh, I've come to join you

Oh, I've hoped for comfort
But I've never felt too safe
And in this hard life
I've had to navigate
Through un-exhausted
Has been my virtue

Ooh, I've hoped for comfort
But I've never felt too safe
And in this hard life
I've had to navigate
Through un-exhausted
Has been my virtue

The paradox of poverty
Has left us dismayed
Sliding democracy
Washing away

The toil of the many goes
To the fortunate few
The revolution solution
Oh, I've come to join you

The toil of the many goes
To the fortunate few
The revolution solution
Oh, I've come to join you

Only under socialism! I'd expect more intellectual acumen from Peretz Bernstein..

I think you are confused.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/plutocracy

They are completely separate concepts.
Love Perry's unique vocal stylings on this one, and the beats and sounds these cats lay down on this track are truly mind-blowing good

Technically, it's not really "reverb" producing that sound, it's "delay" (or "echo").  "Reverb" is a random repetition of a sound within 30 or 40 milliseconds of the original sound (like sounds in a marble hallway); "echo" is a distinct repetition after 40 or 50 milliseconds (i.e. an echo in a canyon), which is called "delay" in the recording industry.  They are slightly different things.
I know, nerdy details....

The reasons I read the comments is to,

1) learn about the product being played

2) enjoy the witty jousting between commenters

3) add to my vast fund or unrelated knowledge.

So thank you in reference to #3

We'll make great pets...

thievery corporation continues to rock my world
I once took a class on a piece of software, and one day when we were discussing the Peripherals menu, the instructor kept saying, "Okay now open your Perry Farrells..."   I kept cracking up but I think I was the only person that got it {#Doh}
Thanks, I think I'll get it.  Euskadita wrote:

Whatever it is--It seems like too much.

Why not, Egypt just went upsidedown.

For the fourth time in 14 hours today, RP has pulled things down that match my thought's requests. Nearly zero chance of that happening anywhere else. Requesting docking time extension, Captain.
agreed! revolution is the only solution left!
I love the album cover.
Nicely done. These guys are from D.C. Such proximity to the heart of corruption probably influences their art. S'pose? As for the revolution, count me in.

I like this a lot despite the echo that seems to drive some listeners crazy.
This song song is driving driving me crazy crazy. I love Thievery Corp, but not this this song song.

Guess the reason you aren't a big fan of theirs is that they don't have enough crappy music  Now honestly, different tastes are great, and give us a variety of music :-)
Don't have enough? How much is enough? Seems like since all of their music sounds the same, if one is crappy, it's all crappy! It's more than enough for me.

hahahaha you drugged some friends? Bet it sounded even bettter then.
Allright . . . you at the mix board! . . . Let go of the reverb control, keep your hands where I can see 'em, and nobody has to get hurt.

Oh man, never realized that was Perry Farrell. Excellent
Perry Farrell's voice sounds great on this. It makes me think of the possible directions for JA. Of course they would need serious help from Eric A. The album 'Strays' should never have been made.

I'm not sure this is their best CD, as yet. That said, some of their older stuff is great! Check 'em out...I gave this a '9' ..but I'm biased
After the last half hour this sounds very refreshing! I like! OScar

love perry farrell's voice, especially in this context
I had no idea they had a new album. I gotta run to the record store, TC rules!

Sultry!

You will note the extreme hard-left sentiments expressed in the lyrics of this tune. This also is a hallmark of TC's style. (Note: I'm moderate lefty.) :)~
Love these guys, smooth groove, well arranged!
This is why I listen to this station. This is soooooo cool. This is music for my chic late summer night party.

Thanks for the new material, Bill. Album reviews have noted TC's move away from techno sounds, but I certainly don't hear it on this track. Anyone have the albums to compare? Aw hell, it doesn't matter, I'll end up buying this one anyway... Not bad, but here's hoping more tracks are coming.
This sounds a whole lot like Mark Stewart and the Maffia. Here is their AMG entry
