June arrives, rumored days
Days of willing it to be
In the nest futures hatch
It's such a lovely thing to see

Oh my God
Like an angel wound
What fortune
Like a child in a field
So it goes, so it yields

June is here
Then it's not
In the background constantly

From the west
Lights go out
It's such a lonely thing to see

Oh my Lord
Talk of devil's food
What fortune

Lock the fruit
In a seed
So it grows
So it needs

Oh my soul
Soul like her cocoon
Long gone June

Her dark sides
Her bed feels
As she knows, as she feels

A relatively "deep" cut considering this album was not published on Arista or Thirsty Ear, but instead on Cooking Vinyl. Amazing they're still going, but they just (25 Jan 2005) released an acoustic greatest hits disc with 5 new tracks that's fantastic. I still think they got it after all these years.
the lyrics arent anything special in this song - which is disappointing since the song isnt anything to talk about musically either. i hope the other songs on the album are a little interesting
How about something from Seance or Remote Luxury? Maybe even "Blurred Crusade"? That's and RP song if there ever was one....
I've been meaning to upload a few tracks from this album, but haven't got around to it yet. "Song In Space", "Appalatia" and "Reversal" are also very playworthy, maybe I'll go ahead and see if Bill will like them too...

Church! Yeah! Congratulations on a ownderful choice of music. As for this song... I'll have to hear it a few times to rate it, but the band itself is so worthy of play.
almost exactly what I was going to say!
