In like the rose that grows in your soul
Out of time, now you're out for more
In like the stone that forms in your heart
Out of reach but you can't give up this time

I'm on a wire
To see your star
Shine

In like the sun that falls on us all
Out of time but you can't let go
Into the dark you've stumbled alone
Out of sight, now you can't return this time

I'm on a wire
To see your star
Shine
I'm on a wire
To see your star

I've been blind
I've torn out my eyes, but I fear no more
I've been blind
You've turned from my side, but I felt your voice

In like the cold that grows in your bones
Out of time, now you can't go on
End of the road you've taken alone
Devil's hands will replace the ones I've known

I'm on a wire
To see your star
Shine
I'm on a wire
To see your star

(Please darling)
I'm on a wire
(Hear me darling)
I've taken your silence, but I can't no more
(See darling, you don't owe them nothing)
(Please darling)
I'm on a wire
(Hear me darling)
You fade in the light where I can't follow
(See darling, you don't owe them nothing)

Time keeps this love alive
But your hope is gone

 Thank you.
omg...i just love love love love this one. gets me every time it's played.
where's the repeat button?
I've heard this transition before - from Ghosts Again by Depeche Mode to In Like the Rose.

It just makes so much sense that I added it to a playlist.
Seems like we're hearing a bit more BRMC recently - a very good thing! And this is a fine tune, among many others.

not true, I saw BRMC selling it on Bleecker St in NYC
“They sound like Oasis. Pretty gritty.” They don’t sound like a Beatles cover band at all.
Such a great band! Always love their work. Still think their first album is probably their best, and every album has gems on them.
my fav BRMC!  love how it ends. i could hear this on repeat several times.
I love these guys and have been listening since their first album. Wtf is with these backhanded compliments?
OK, I really don't like these guys, but I gotta give this one a seven.
Can’t believe this album is almost 20 years old. I’ve seen them several times in concert. Never disappoint.

Pretty good.

I think Oasis have to catch up.
You are right. It SLAPS!
I don't know what it is about BRMC that gets me, but it seems like every song gets a two-point increase just because it's by them. This is no different, it just slaps. 9 over here.
Nice way to start my day.  RP does it again, been a listener for a long time, perfect example of why I will continue
to be.

If this happens hit the 'Sync' button, select Main Mix and rock on.

(Hey, kid, rock'n' roll, rock on)

I always thought that this group/ song has one of the most distinctive guitar sounds, and for sure, IT ALWAYS GETS ME ROCKING! ~ JAM!
Good Tune!

The mood of the station had been going too slow for the last hour. I'm glad to have this song helping to pick up the pace. Enjoyable.

I am relieved that in 2004 this person found the music they were looking for.

Yep, all the best songs do have sound.

Pretty good.
hmm... choose the most irritating pitch... bang the crap out of it = "music"?
Hey, this isn't bad. Other BRMC stuff I've heard I haven't liked, but this is ok.

You saw the opportunity and took it. Very much appreciated :)

Great music, rate 8 for this song

Some of us like it crunchy and loud.

Man, these guys are great!

That is a false statement. Seven is less than eight.

My hears just can't stand the noise (like cutted) on the beggining ... Impossible to listen ....
Nice wall of sound on the chorus.

Nope, some of them are former members of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Maybe thinking of Black Label Society?

Exactly!  It's great to hear the old stuff I grew up with and love, but it's even better to get exposed to magic new sounds.

Indeed. Nice wall-of-sound happening here.

Not bad at all. Well worth seeing live if you get a chance.

Possessed ! Unconscious !!
I LOVE RP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two of my favorites right in a row, thanks RP!

OK, let's call it a "unique rip-off" then.

Stone Roses? I would say Jesus & the Mary Chain, but to each their own. Some pretty good guitar work going on here.

I don't hand out many 9's, but even after listening to this tune on RP for nearly three years, I still can't justify dropping the rating. Truly outstanding and always stands out on the playlist for me.
OK album but their first and now HOWL are so much better!!!

Great segue from "How soon is Now"

That's funny, cause I was just thinging that the beginning of this song would probably make me dizzy if I had headphones on.

Hey RP, Thanks for introducing me to BRMC! I've NEVER heard them on mainstream radio. This song rocks!
One of my favorite albums of 2003.
Boring. Their first album was so much better, IMO. This just sounds like bland, imitation, early-90's Brit-Pop. Their current album, which has taken more of an Alt-Country tack is better as well.
OK, now this gets me going here at work with the headphones on. I haven't felt awake till this song started playing. Bubba digs it.

When it's mixed with the lighter music it stands out as being pretty heavy. A bit much for here at work...
Their new album is acoustic...go figure.

This is not even half as heavy as I would sometimes like it, so I second that motion. As long as it's good-quality heavy stuff.... it's all in the "eclectic"!!
