So you want to be alone, run and hide inside your home
Watch you fall away from me, sinking into misery
Taste your smile and hold my hand, make you laugh and make you dance
I remember this, everything was in our kiss

Sink my hands into the sea, reach your fingers up to me
Trust me one more time I can only try
Throw yourself to me and I'll try to pull you free
Let me try to pull you free, let me try to pull you free
Let me try to pull you free, let me try to pull you free
Let me try to pull you free, let me try to pull you free
Let me try to pull you free, let me try to pull you free
Let me try to pull you free, let me try to pull you free
Let me try to pull you free, let me try to pull you free

About time we had some Lush on RP.  This is some of the best of the shoegazing genre.
More from this band, please! 🙂

So was your mom last night.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...Still remember the first time I heard this song, it was in this Levi's ad.   Great song and sexy commercial!
This is just horrible
Always have digged this groove!  Of course, those strumming guitars make the song.

And maybe Undertow by Tool? Nah, that's probably asking too much.
LIKE IT! :-)
SO happy to hear some Lush on RP!

Real nice but you got any Heart Throbs in that vault?
Why oh why did I throw away all my old tapes!? Why? why? why?

Love that Wall of Sound effect.  At the old Salt Mine this morning and alone — I sent the minions off to a seminar.  Now setting volume control to Maximum ... Music City loves RP.

I'd have to agree. I really like this one.

Noise. # 1

Yay!!  Lush-fun times for the shoegazer crowd (ok, yes I am that old.)

Love Miki and Emma...
Great band! {#Dancingbanana_2}

Saw Lush open Lalapalooza in 1992.

Saw Weezer with Lush as the opening act when no one knew who River and the boys were.

On another tour Mojave 3 opened for Lush which was how I discovered Neil Halstead & company. What an incredible show!

Ahhh the 90's were a great time for Indie Rock!
We be jammin'......
One of my first uploads way back was "500" by these guys.
Cool song, at least I thought it was.
Some other people had other thoughts about it. {#Mrgreen}
cool shoes!

I remember this
Everything was in our kiss
Sink my hands into the sea
Reach your fingers up to me

Liking this - but didn't I hear it in a jeans commercial? The one where the girl breaks into a chop shop to save her cool car, tears out of there with screaming tires and goons in pursuit, and puts her little bobblehead back on the dash?

That's where I actually first heard this song! It took me forever to find out who it was. Her car was a '68 Camaro - that caught my eye too, as I have a '69. Great song!

Great Layering...Speaking of Layering, I think I am going to go watch Layer Cake when I get home. Sienna Miller is really hot. Jude Law is an idiot. I would marry her, or Natalie Portman. Did anyone else ever see her rap video? Search it, it's awesome. By the way, this is the way my brain actually works.
I'll check it out. Thanks.

Jarring in a good way, right?

Bwaaahahahaah! If you could do this on your "Mac" in 10 minutes, you'd be a millionaire making this music. Guess not..... Go ahead and make some.... & post it here. We'll wait.

Please do and post the results! If it's as good as this we'd all love to hear it!

Julie Cruise?
... as in, "Julee Cruise couldn't touch this band?" Yes, that's right. My only complaint is that I wish they'd boost the vocals and tone down the wall of sound thing. They have such great voices, and you hear it at the very end.
Julie Cruise? 8.
I love this band. Found another unheard song of theirs on this rare compilation that I've started listening to lately and love them all over again. I miss music like this.

Airy vocals, layers of distorted guitar. Where have I heard that before? Answer: Curve and My Bloody Valentine.
Yes, they all come from that era of shoegazer rock. I love this type of sound! Very dreamy. I give it a 9. It's cool how the term shoegazer rock came about. (click here)
Wooo-Hooooooooo! I never heard this on the "real radio" even when it was 'popular'! Thanks RP!!
Nice propulsive groove. I'm riding down a long winding hill on my bike.. or doing some fast paced stomach crunches...
Best song i've heard on rp in quite awhile. 10
ultra spooky..i used to listen to this song way more than was healty back in 96. I miss Lush.
Great song from a great band. Wonder what Miki & co are up to nowadays?

Comments range all over the map on this one. I have to say I like it. To me, it does sound "lush". 7.5 - 8
I like the edgy feel...makes me wanna shred the 'nar... Why are these guys not on iTunes....
Yes....what a great sound.

I would say in all honesty that this number really rocks.
I am reading a bunch of negative reviviews (below), but the rule-of-thumb here at RP is a 7. Songs below this threshold usually aren't very good and songs at or above 7 are usually very good. I agree with kgish: This song rocks in so very many different ways!
i like it. kinda like a female the verve.
It's a lemon!
I am digging this on a cold rainy day in Massachusetts. How about adding some tracks from their "Spooky" LP?
Airy vocals, layers of distorted guitar. Where have I heard that before? Answer: Curve and My Bloody Valentine.
RUBBISH! I am shouting to try to be heard over the noise of the sucko-barfo noise that RP is playing...
The artist Website link doesn't seem right! Right name wrong product!! The group's ok-ish but the Lush shops smell too strong How do do the staff last more than a day with that smell?
I would say in all honesty that this number really rocks.

Apparently they think they can sound "lush" by filling the speakers with sound. Unfortunately it is monotone white noise that drowns out whatever music they might be making in the background.
Lush always reminds me of Chapterhouse... probably because I discovered them both at the same time back in the early 90's. Both great bands. I like some of Lush's other stuff better then this song though. Chapterhouse would be a cool add to the RP playlist (Pearl is an amazing song!).
Haven't heard the band for a while, thanks for playing it...

Right now Lush is represented by only three titles on RP. This song is strong argument for more.
Miki Berenyi has an amazing voice!

Nice to hear some Lush on RP. Anything off of their latest (and final disc) "Lovelife" would be very nice.

Great song, and I remember I had a crush on Miki (the singer) back in the day as well. To quote Weezer: "Goddamn you half-Japanese girls, you do it to me every time" Ahh, sweet memories. ;)

pardon me for being an old fudy-dudy; but what the hell is "shoe gazer material?"
"Shoe gazer" material is music played by floppy-haired indie boys who go in for long guitar droning and mumbled words - called "shoe-gazing" 'cos that's what they do playing live - heads down, no moving, slumped pver their guitars gazing at their shoes. Ride were great exponents of this in the early 90s.
supercool.

Awesome addition to the playlist. A favorite from my college years. Thanks RP!
Ahhh, I'd love to hear more Lush on rp. :D :D :D :D
Oh Yeah! As dot might say "i want my youth back!"
Wow, I haven't heard this band in forever. Awesome! I love how Bill always throws in these bands I used to listen to in high school and college. Reminds me of some great music I have and some I wish I did have.
Curve vs Cocteau Twins .... man RP, keep on surprising us.
Very reminiscent of Sinead O'Connor. I like.
Great flashback to college days. Thanks RP!
Lush is the original that spawned things like Curve and Garbage...
