Not surprising.  I grew up  in MD. There are all over prescribed  for pharmaceuticals
When I was in Keswick, in the English Lake District, there was a guy busking with a didgeridoo, nothing else. It was strangely relaxing.
Not just one didgeridoo, but two of them!  It's a one-note instrument.
There you go, Bill, subverting the hegemony of the Western pop music canon with tunes from elsewhere - THANK YOU!!
This is a lots of fun while I'm mowing grass. woops watch out for that kangaroo!
Love me a bit of Baka Beyond. Great live with loads of energy

Be careful with that kinda talk.  We have people on this forum going through their second childhoods.

Goo goo!

Don't remind me.
increasing to a 8...why?  well love the feelings generated...think music that does that is good

Gondwanaland is where I'd like to be - in the days long before God invented politicians.

Try singing along to this song. It's easy - just try any combination of these words...

Meow... quack quack... rebbit

If you think cat... duck... frog  then you will get the idea.

Works for me!
I must say that this some uninspired dige just a drone. For good fusion dige listen to some Gondwana
I enjoy this song and appreciate that the didgeridoo takes talent to play, but there are sounds in this recording that remind me of someone spitting their chew into a Mountain Dew bottle.

Is that a didge in your pocket or are you just spectacularly pleased to see me...?

Jeez. Goes on a bit, what?

Yes, more didg please
Haha! Solid digeridoo hate up in here. Too bad for you, the digi is a star talking, galaxy hoppin' windpipe for me.
A blast from the past and nice to hear.

I've seen that car too.  Or several of them.

Kind of interesting (to me) how I've heard this for years and never rated it —up until now it's been no big deal, I'd probably have given it a 6. But just now, something snapped in me and I absolutely hated it. 2 for now but I never want to hear it again or it'll be a 1. Or maybe it'll go back to 6. But I doubt it. {#Confused}
Way too much of the rubber band noise........no mas

Quite enjoyable. Thanks for this!
Definitely a toe-tapper. Heckuva didg groove.

It's camels they're after eating now, mate - apparently the outback is infested with the humpy buggahs and they're eating everything in sight. See this Independent article.

So, gimme a camel burger pronto or I'll get the hump!

Quick Bill, que up "Rubber-Band Man" by the Spinners!

George: How do you light this thing?

Wow, I have a LONG way to go before I get that good on the didg!
Don't want to be a fat man...

Didgeridoo? I say, 'Didgeridon't.' (Sorry I couldn't resist.)
No.  No, no, no, no, NO!!  No more didgeridoo music on RP!  {#Puke}

then you can play the flute.
Yeah, I have to concur, what's with all the didgeridoo music these past few years? What's next, a decade of bagpipe music?
Second didgeridoo song in a few hours? What the hell?

Agreed. Way too long. That didg was driving me insane in the end. If I happened to be watching that live I would have had to have smashed him over the head with it.
It's the "Stairway to Heaven" of new age music. Or "Born to Run," maybe. (And nice to hear in full rather than just as bumper music in between talk show or news story segments).

I think Anika Moa did a song or two that is good. Incidentally I haven't heard any of her here on RP. . .
Feel like I'm in the swamps.

Where on earth do you come up with this stuff? This is why I listen to RP. A solid 9. Can anyone who has the album say how the rest of it compares?
I've had Outback's CD, Dance the Devil Away, for many, many years. I like it a lot. If you like this, you'll like it too.
This is fun.
I tried playing a digeridoo once and have infinite respect for anyone who can coax this much music out of one. Outback gets a good groove on here.
This is the 2nd Digeridoo-heavy song of the morning
coffee-eyes wrote:

Err...that is actually a wind instrument.Digeridoo, that long thing played on the cover above. Hence the outback bit to the sound as well as the name. And I think there may be some Jews Harp or some such as well involved. I weren't listening that closely at the time it was played.
Cool!

Me too! Right up until I switch over to the song sheet and start reading everybody's comments. Hence my login name. Bill give a guy a break and play something that sucks once in awhile. Just kidding! Thanks for the music!

Man does THAT explain a few things I've seen on I-95.
It's got a nice groove but it keeps going on. Who doesn't love the digeredoo? But a little goes a long way.
This is an AWESOME album
unmistakably groovin... give me the 'doo
How many of these would I need to drive clear across Oz? without stopping...

Not complaining, but, Bill seems to have a 'thing' about the didgeridoo, doesn't he?
And banjo. Also not complaining, but a band that included both would probably get every track played at least once.
This is a fantastic song. I love it's intricacy and carefreeness.
Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too long.
Lurve it! Nothing like some good bouncy didj to brighten my morning.
This has always made me so happy to listen to. Thanks Bill!
so how about that album cover, right? i know they probably just had one of their sisters that's in art school set it up for them, but geez. it's pretty terrible!
for a scary moment with the first few opening bars - i thought this might be Rolf Harris's version of Satirway to Heaven (spoken about in forum today)
What is going ON back there??!!!
RP always finds something to totally upend my day thanks for the cool take on this song
Not complaining, but, Bill seems to have a 'thing' about the didgeridoo, doesn't he?
Will this end?
BILL - YOU SHOULD ALSO ADD SOME XAVIER RUDD TO YOUR ROTATION - AND START PLAYING JOHN BUTLER TRIO "BETTERMAN" FOR ME, I KNOW YOU'VE GOT IT (LIVE VERSION PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I keep hearing strains of "Norwegian Wood" in the guitar, which just adds to the yumminess. Yes, yumminess is a technical term.

Really? the name of the band is "Outback"? I would never have guessed.
Isn't this the same music as a Midnight Oil tune? ..."You're dream world is just about to fall" or something like that? Dream World (couldn't find any reference in my frantic scouring of the comments)

There's an awful lot going on here, once you get used to the idea that the beat isn't going to change. I like it better every time I hear it

Good wakeup from the slodgy mellow stuff you were playing up till now!
Damn Good! Jumped right over to iTunes and purchased their East West album. Very good working music. Thanks RP!
I swear I heard this song as background music on a commercial yesterday and the day before. I can't remember what the commercial was, though.
Ahhh, I hit the mute button, the loud, banging air handler sounds so much nicer.
Godawful! Would be good with one of those Saturday morning fishing shows.
