I'm also hearing Steve Forbert in there.
Nevertheless, I absolutely adore this song and Joseph Arthur.  We saw him at the Soiled Dove Underground in Denver several years ago and he put on an amazing show.  For those of you who don't know, he uses he synthesizer and then creates paintings - mesorizing us with his wonderful music and visual arts creativity.  After the show was over he hung around and individually tried to thank each and everyone of us who attended.  What a great human!

This song seems to have a nice prayer- spiritual tone to it.
