Beautiful child
Beautiful child
You are a beautiful child
And I am a fool once more
You fell in love when I was only ten
The years disappeared
Much has gone by since then
I bite my lip, can you send me away
You touch
I have no choice
I have to stay
Ooh, I had to stay
Ooh, I had to stay
Sleepless child
There is so little time
Your eyes say yes
But you don't say yes
I wish that you were mine
I wish that you were mine
You say it will be harder in the morning
I wait for you to say, just go
Your hands held mine so few hours
(I fell into love)
And I'm not a child anymore
I'm not a child anymore
I'm tall enough
To reach for the stars
I'm old enough
To love you from afar
Too trusting? Yes
But then women usually are
I'm not a child anymore
No, I'm not a child, oh no
Tall enough to reach for the stars
I will do
As I'm told
Even if I never hold you again
I never hold you again
Sleepless child
There is so little time
Your eyes say yes, but you don't say yes
I wish that you were mine (x4)

Yeah ... this one rarely gets talked about or played, but it's so frigging beautiful. It's subtle but has layers going on. I love when a song is beautiful musically but also makes you want to know "what's going on here?"
I can't help but think that there is something autobiographical going on in the mellow mix this morning.

Seems like you're talking to yourself, based on all the other comments.
I haven't heard this in ages (don't own Tusk) but a friend "back in the day" used to play this song all the time. Since it was her car we would cruise around in endlessly (AMC Hornet for those interested) we had to go along with it. Now it sounds pretty good to me :)
Just discovered the "My Favorites" tab under "channel". Years of hard work paid off. Thank you RP... All my favorite songs in one place now..

Only one word will suffice for this song.

Lovely.

Fleetwood Mac are very middle of the road with the girls on board, but Beautiful Child is a very captivating song. Stevie Nicks sounds as though she has a story to tell and she wants you to know how she feels about it courtesy of the way the words are sung. The accompanying music is nicely under-stated and elegant.Stevie sounds like she wants to really let go at some point, but she saves that for Sisters Of The Moon. All the Stevie songs on Tusk are the best songs on the album. Brown Eyes gives them a good run for the money though. The title track is decent, but it's a bit goofy, like a few other Lindsey songs on the album. But it's brilliant live.
Criminally underappreciated track

Beautiful.  Best that I've heard from this album, which I have to admit didn't grab me enough to buy it from the stuff aired.
What a beautiful song! Full of melancholia.
Beautiful song on a great album
