You've made a good point. There are songs by Sixpence None the Richer I like too, that arent their mainstream hit Kiss Me.As long as you stick with metaphors, the challenges of human relationships, or chanting monks, you are religious without being annoyingly fanatical about it. But like that greatest hits album sold on cable and the like? Blecch!

This is a fantastic song and a fantastic album. Regardless of its religious content, inspiration produces genius. I practice a very different religion and I still love it and find it inspirational on a number of levels.

The greatest Christian rock band in the world is U2. I've never heard anyone complain about their music because of its religious associations. Why complain about this band? If you like the song, ok. If not, ok. You're not going to burn in hell either way.

I find the first statement slightly worse. The second one means... I don't like this... it's Christian Rock... I haven't liked other Christian Rock I've heard...SO, no more crossovers from Christian Rock. Pretty fair statement... I haven't heard enough Christian Rock knowingly to make a statement although I've heard some that is BAD ( Not Evil of course, just plain Bad)

Not only that, but if that's what's in the artist's head, it makes the work less legitimate? Good music is good music. By the way, people tried to pigeonhole U2 as a "Christian Rock Band" not that many years ago...

This song seems to be highly underrated. This album came out when I was going through my teenage rebellion phase and didn\'t want to have anything to do with the religion of my parents. I absolutely adored the album anyway. I like to think I\'ve matured in my attitudes toward religion, and I\'m still an atheist, and I still love this band. Both their self-titled and Much Afraid are fantastic albums.

This song is so boppable! I am bopping in my chair! And the voices are as tuneful as the tune is catchy. I wish my exercise class could use this one to do an aerobics piece to! I think I am hooked on this song. :) :D

I happen to dig this tune. Banal lyrics can be forgiven if they\'re supported by a decent tune. This one gets a thumbs up in my book. - It\'s interesting to see that these guys generate controversy simply by virtue of being associated with Christianity. Give me a break. There\'s nothing overtly preachy or evangelical about these guys; they\'re not admonishing you to change your ways or burn in Hell. As far as I can tell, their lyrics reference Christian themes, and that\'s about it. With \"artists\" like Eminem singing about stabbing dykes in the head or Ice Tea singing about killing cops, people who bitch about Jars of Clay have their priorities out of whack if you ask me.

Even though I'm not Christian, that association doesn't bother me as long as the lyrics are meaningful. (Which they aren't especially.) What really does bother me is that it has a harsh pointed sound that isn't easy for me to listen to. Wait, I take that back. It has a sound that is downright unpleasant for me to listen to. If this was never ever played again, I wouldn't weep too much :) But, since it's way better than Creed, I'll be nice and give it a two.

Jeez folks, stop being put off by the \"Christian\" association with this song. Its a great song period. If it happens to be Christian, fine. Bands like this could give Christian rock a good name.

Wow, this was released only six years ago. Seems like just yesterday! I\'ve always liked this tune. It was a nice reprieve from the spoo which dominated the radio at the time.

The album is very well done musically speaking but only 3 songs on album are really good . By the way if you own the album notice the 3 songs that are really good are produced by Adrian Belew if I remember right. Liquid , Arms of a child , and Flood are the songs ;)
