Perspective. It could be that the acceleration of gravity is perceived as one being pushed toward the mass in question. Pulled toward, pushed toward. Tomato, toh-mah-to.

A very happy day in my life was when my son sold his skydiving gear.  He subsequently informed me he is not finished with skydiving.  He's planning to tandem with his son when he turns 18.  He is now 16. {#Undecided}

Yeah, it's a cool tune, nice production.  It sounds like they're using a baritone guitar in the mix: it gives a slight Morricone/Badalamenti feel to it.

songs that remind me of the Doors are never good (a favourite quote of mine from Uncut Magazine The Doors: a bar band that got lucky). This doesn't remind me of (to quote Denis Leary) "Big fat dead guy in a bathtub" and his partners in music crime, so i do agree with your final analysis. Good stuff indeed!
