The party looks set to go on well into the night in Miamiâs South Beach, for now at least, after ban on alcohol sales after 2 a.m. was temporarily halted.
Earlier this week a judge ruled that last call for booze in parts of South Beach can be shifted from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. following several attempts by Miami Beach officials to address complaints about nightclubs from city residents.
Now a Miami-Dade County judge has granted a temporary halt to the planned ban, allowing Miami Beach nightclubs to serve alcohol until 5 a.m. through the spring break season, according to a representative for Story nightclub.
The business filed a motion Wednesday to withhold enforcement of the city ordinance until after March 27 â the peak of spring break tourism â according to Miami Dade County Court documents.

Periâs discussions, which focused on seeing the modern world through a Biblical viewpoint, often touched on social topics. In other discussions uploaded on YouTube, Peri said that ânot very long ago being a mother was the pinnacle of being a woman,â and he compared abortion to genocides like the Holocaust.
âIt has boggled my mind that you have not seen a massive backlash from the Black population for what is effectively a genocide. And if you look to the right, you can see that in world history, there have been great killers. The Holocaust, 11 million were killed. Six million Jews,â said Peri, pointing to a chart comparing abortion to genocide.
