Listening to RP right now, and just heard the original Roy Buchanan "The Messiah Will Come Again", lovely tune, but has anyone heard the Gary Moore cover of it? It's the most emotionally charged guitar playing you will ever hear, by one of the greatest guitarists to have ever lived, unfortunately now no longer with us.
The album version is spine chilling, the live version awe-inspiring. If you like listening to the best guitarists,  if you liked Thin Lizzy, if you like listening to spine-chilling beauty in music, if you liked Roy Buchanan's original, then please try out either the album or live versions linked.
You'll thank me for ever more :)

Thanks for your reply, buddy.
The original is quite good. There's also another live version online which I like a lot. Roy Buchanan doesn't seem to use just as much overdrive and distortion on his guitar as Gary Moore does. (I think most everyone has heard the Gary Moore versions.) Yet, I like Roy Buchanan's 1972 studio version even better.

Also, there's an interesting documentary on Roy.

When I was younger, I'd bought the album just for the cover. Today, I still love the tunes.

The very best, best, best live rock album, I just came about to listen today for the first time!
Highly recommended for any lovers of rock guitars and a sometimes Hendrix like voice.

Live and Dangerous is a live double album by the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy, released in June 1978. It was recorded in London in 1976, and Philadelphia and Toronto in 1977, with further production in Paris. It was also the last Thin Lizzy album to feature guitarist Brian Robertson, who left the band shortly after its release.

The band decided to release a live album after their producer Tony Visconti did not have enough time to work on a full studio session. The group listened through various archive recordings from earlier tours and compiled the album from the best versions. Various studio overdubs were made to the live recordings during early 1978 in Paris; exactly how much of the album is overdubbed has been a contentious topic since its release. The album reached No. 2 in the UK album charts, ultimately selling over half a million copies. It has continued to attract critical acclaim and it has appeared in several lists of the greatest live albums of all time. ~ (Wikipedia)

Ok I had to at least hear what all of the fuss was about with this Billie Ellish so I broke down and gave a listen.   All I can say is that it is good pop music which if you like pop music then you will find it great I guess, but I am not hearing the second coming of Bob Dylan, Brian Eno or Whitney Houston  here.   Good lyrics, interesting arrangements.  Simple pop music.  Her voice actually reminds me of Kylie Monogue.  The breathiness may be appealing for some, but 2 songs is all I can stand of that.
