Forget "Horizon", Kevin Costner's new work if you're looking for a good Western. Instead, check out "The Dead Don't HURT" by Viggo Mortensen.

Maestro is intensely boring despite the terrific job by Bradley Cooper.

Agree! Was sort of dreading a 3.5 hour movie but really didn’t mind. Also, saw in IMAX, really accentuated the cinematography.

I put on Gran Turismo last night and didn't make it to any racing scenes. Plodding, uninteresting, probably written by a guy with a checklist. Underdog. Check. Parents don't appreciate him. Check. Has-been mentor. Check. Eat Lightning, Crap Thunder. Oh different movie. Promotion for PlayStation and Nissan; makes both look boring.

If you’re not familiar, this is one of my favorite bits they did on SNL. Very Firesign.

my mother and i went to see Maestro on friday.
i really enjoyed it (except for one small thing you couldn't get away from). i thought it was well done and i had my reservations on how cooper was going to pull this off, but he did an amazing job. i learned a lot about bernstein and the music was fantastic.

Science Fiction:  The Creator, 2023
Great visual effects, cinematography, action sequences and direction, produced and directed by Gareth Edwards, who co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Weitz. - Score: Hans Zimmer.

As are we.  The deal with theaters was no sooner than 45 days, so it'll be after December 4.  Hopefully, it'll be available over the holidays.

THE MAN FROM EARTH

PURE ART OF ACTING.
SIENCE FICTION WITHOUT A SINGLE SF EFFECT.

IT'S LIKE A  LISTENING OLD STORY AND THE MOVIE IS AN IMAGINATION IN THE HEAD.

NEXT TO INTERSTELLAR, THIS ONE IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. AND I'M NOT RELIGIOUS AT ALL.

Searched the forums and no one has mentioned RRR.
Yes, it's violent. Now watch one of the most astounding movies I've seen in a long time.

The Sony Spiderman movies are amazing. We re-watched the first one last night before seeing the matinee of the new one today. Every single frame is thoughtful and creative, with some bursts of a second that use different looks and styles. I thought after the first one, I'd be less amused/surprised by another one. Nope, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. The seats downtown are brutally uncomfortable though. Worth it. Despite how this looks in a trailer, it's somehow easy to forget it's animation. The first one won best animated feature. It's time for at least a nomination for Best Picture because the thing is just that remarkable.

I enjoyed this one more than the first.  It was great how they varied illustration styles in it for different scenes - going from standard CGI stuff to comic-book-looking to minimal illustration. and several other styles.  Certain scenes paid an homage to José Antonio Muñoz, one of my favorite artists.
