They must have some magic shield that prevents the white devil from seeing them as black and holding them down only thing I can figure.

Why Nigerians are the most successful immigrant group in the U.S.

Currently, 29 per cent of Nigerian-Americans over the age of 25 hold a graduate degree, compared to 11 per cent of the overall U.S. population, according to the Migrations Policy Institute.

The 2016 American Community Survey also found that among Nigerian-American professionals, 45 per cent work in education services with several others being professors at some of the top universities.

Nigerian-Americans are also increasingly entering into entrepreneurship and building tech companies in the US.

On the medical field, you will find them there too; as they continue to abandon their home country to work in American hospitals for better pay and working conditions.

Also watch that Ted talk I posted below.  The gentleman tells us what the black community thinks are their most pressing issues for raising the black community up and racism was way down the list.  Stay race obsessed all you want, but as long as one follows that path there will be no improvements and you will just continue to scream at white shadows in the dark professing their victimhood, pointing your finger and expecting results.{#Snooty}

You can add stats like:
- Black job applicants are about half as likely as white applicants to get an interview callback
- 58 percent of prisoners are black or Hispanic, despite making up one-quarter of the U.S. population
- Black people are 12 times more likely to be wrongly convicted of drug-related crimes than white people.
- >74 percent of black students and 80 percent of Latino students attend schools that are more than half-minority populations.
- 13 percent of all black men are denied the right to vote.
- Asian American homebuyers are shown 20 percent fewer homes than white homebuyers.
- In 2013, the unemployment rate for black college grads was almost twice as high as the rate for grads overall.
- White families hold 90 percent of the national wealth. Black and Latino families combined hold less than five percent.

I sure there are good reasons for all of these...not institutional issues.

If the people who have run the systems for 2.5 centuries have likely tended toward racist, how could the systems they design, build, maintain and refine not absorb those qualities?

The NFL is a perfect example.  Generally a leader in attempting to do the right thing.  The Rooney rule is a nice attempt at equality, yet fails.  2 weeks ago they agreed to eliminate the racial bias in concussion testing.  2 weeks.

If you're not sure systems are inherently racist...you're white and don't have any black friends who speak openly to you.

You have the system, and you have the people.
Communism sounds like a great system, until you let people run it, then it has always failed.
I'm no sure where our systems are systemically racist?
There are obviously examples from the past, but what are the current laws, regulations, systems that are on their face, racist?
Racial profiling could be one, but this is largely not allowed, and hardly makes the US systemically or institutionally racist.

And they ran them based on what was deemed "common sense" (which often is anything but). Almost everybody knew that some people(s) are just naturally inferior...

The latter definitely holds true, but except for isolated, and mostly historical examples, I'm not sure whether the former holds water.

Regardless, the outcomes, the data...still show that despite the good progress made over the years, there are still serious issues of inequality.
How we correct that is up for debate.
Reminds of the supreme court case from a few years back where justice roberts argued, you stop race discrimination, by stopping discrimination basis of race. Ginsburg countered, its hard to have a racial objective, nut a nonracial way to get there. Seems to be some truth in both these statements, but I will defer to Ginsburg.

If you really want a window into the real world of people on the street then follow the Kwame Brown saga.  What he is doing is fascinating. He is truly authentic and quite cleverly shining a mirror on the fakeness of the powerful.  Similar to what Charlie Sheen was doing shortly after his drama filled exit of 2 1/2 which I also found fascinating, but what Kwame is doing is much more important in the big scheme of things.  And he is from North Charleston area too which is why you will hear the term Geechee so much referring to Sea Island slave descendants of the region. You should really give a listen to Kwame's channel if you get a chance to hear the man himself.   This is not actually Kwame, but someone commentating on a specific portion of the overall saga:

I defer to these 2 gentleman in discussions on race.  Not that there is any one "expert" on the topic, but these guys are on the pulse of reality better than anyone I have heard or read.  It would behoove anyone who is interested in solutions to the very real problems that black people face in society to give these guys a listen:

Republicans, spurred by an unlikely figure, see political promise in targeting critical race theory
Christopher Rufo, once a documentary filmmaker, has become a go-to activist for the GOP in a political fight over race.
