I think I need to get a photo scanner.

You'll be happier, I think, if you send your negs and slides to a service to be scanned. This is one such place, I'm sure people here have other sources, but ugh! the amount of time it takes to DIY is exasperating. If you just want a quickie scan to share here or Facebook, you can get one of these little boxes (lots of different choices) that use your phone:

That mask is a lot more impressive than anything The Dig ever showed...

Thanks. I was looking for advice.

The helmet (this photo is of a reconstruction) was in a thousand, small, rusted pieces. Putting it back together was Herculean.

An imposing shot, almost ghost like. The lighting emphasizes the complexity of the rigging, must be kilometres of rope there.

Another pic taken in 1976 on slide film of hill tribe kids in the Golden Triangle region, note the baby . That babysitting kid carrying it must be no more than 8 years old.

That must have been an amazing trip! Great photos for sure.

Managed a number of trips over a couple years back then . Sure changed my life, and in a good way too.
Probably threw too much caution to the wind, but what the heck was young and bullet proof.
Towards the end of my travels some really awful stuff started happening to young folks all along the Asian backpackers trail when
a particularly nasty Charles Manson type dude , Charles Sobhraj  started his murderous doings so thought it wise to head on home.

Great photos, and very interesting reading about Sobhraj and the cave rescues!
