I usually wake up at around 3:50 am and check the rat traps in the attic then make a pot of coffee and go back to bed. I get up again when the 11:25 rolls by and have a nice cup of folgers and a coke. Then I take out the trash and bring it back in around 12:08ish. I take a nice little siesta on the porch couch then get up and set my alarm for 7:30 so as not to miss And Griffon and Uncle Opie. After I get done with  fooling with the clock I take a break on the hammock over in Dr. Leonardo's back yard and he always has a cuppa joe handy. I usually take a sip and then throw the rest in his face because damn it's too hot. Too damn hot! I run back to my house and to catch a few winks then the neighbors dog wakes me up. Since I'm up I have a mug of java and a quick shave (for the ladies) then hit the hay because woowee, you know? After I'm done with that shut-eye I practice some magic tricks at the senior center for the oldies where they have a chuck wagon full of free jitter juice by the powder room. Then it's back to the ranch for a snooze. After forty winks I'm up again looking for that hobo tapioca I left around here somewhere. All that puddin' skin makes a body sleepy so I have a sip of sumatra and chase the fat rabbit into the dutch oven to ride the dream train until tomorry.

Thanks, much obliged !  And needed.

Been taking naps at 8pm waking up at 10pm and going back to bed at 1 or 2 ish.

And it seems that this is becoming quite common around here.  Cabin fever from the bug with a second helping of real cabin fever as we just got buried with a couple of feet of snow and into the teens.  Wind blowing off of the open lake.  Damp and cold.

Coffee, yes.  Keep it coming.

He's right, though. The big Bunns with a reservoir of water that you can keep at the precise temp you choose that doesn't change temp wildly thru the brewing... can make better coffee with average beans than a typical home setup can with the fanciest.

It's also the last day that Peet's is offering 25% off beans, so we grabbed three 1-pound bags of Ethiopian fancy. I'll vacuum seal two of them for later on.

My daughter moved to Ann Arbor for work 2 years ago, and we've been drinking this pretty much since.  Roos Roast

Big fans of the "Mother Pheasant Plucker" and "Portland in the 90's".  Used to be free shipping over $75....but it's gone up to $100...so drink up!
