My daughter moved to Ann Arbor for work 2 years ago, and we've been drinking this pretty much since.  Roos Roast

Big fans of the "Mother Pheasant Plucker" and "Portland in the 90's".  Used to be free shipping over $75....but it's gone up to $100...so drink up!

I keep thinking I should mix up our local with some other stuff. But it turns out that a) our local is pretty good, b) it's really cheap, and c) while I enjoy a really good cup, it turns out that as long as I have one I don't really get on to chasing down something else.

I do have a need to fix my supply when south of the border. The inconsistent roast/poor packaging/miserable handling really kills it down there.  As noted, I'm not really a connoisseur in any manner, but the base blend there is pretty bad.  There are a couple of gringos doing craft roasting, but they are charging Seattle prices (or more!) in the Baja, and that's just not right.

Later in the day, it would more likely be bourbon.

Earlier in the day, and the day was slow and relaxed, a little herb could be on the menu.

Hello.  My name is westslope and I LOVE coffee.  Especially the high caffeine, light-roasted Colombian coffee.

Well, I went through this past week without drinking any coffee or tea in the morning.  On two occasions I had a cup of black tea in the mid afternoon.  I broke down and had one weaker cup of coffee Saturday morning, yesterday.

I feel great and am happy not to have to visit the damn bathroom so bloody often.    Within 48 hours, the coffee withdrawal effects were gone.

I hope to continue the love affair with coffee but on a once-in-a-while, occasional, recreational basis or if in the middle of a long, grueling road trip.

My office in Harahan, in the lovely 70123, was just up the road from where Community's roaster is. Every once in a while they would burn the beans and it was hard to breathe for a bit. Very potent beans for sure.

Lake Charles, for me.

This has recently become the go-to brew in the house.  The only problem is we live 10 hours from Ann Arbor (they do ship).

Roos Roast Lobster Butter Love

Mother Pheasant Plucker is also very nice!
