So yesterday I went and picked up my New iPad (7) M3, from Amazon at the Whole Foods pickup, that had a special $30 + $20 =$50.00 off price for the price of $649.  It’s the 256GB Starlight version, and that color is so bad it looked like a sad silver color. I went directly to the Apple Store at the mall to do the transfer and trade in my iPad Air 4. Went through all the procedures and when it came time to wipe the old one clean the woman said I would be getting a $200 Apple gift card, not a credit to my charge card. 

After a crap time and fussing around with them I told them NO! Thats not what the manager told me 2 days ago when I came in to confirm. Since Apple doesn’t do any price matching, maybe a $15 discount, but would credit my card as long as I showed them my receipt from Amazon. So now I had to go back to Whole Foods to return the iPad.

The woman did all the info into the system and then said they couldn’t take it back and I would have to go to Kohl’s to do the return because it was open. Ran to Kohls, did the return and back to the Apple Store to get the iPad. Turns out they will match the price from a legitimate Apple seller up to 10%.  I told them since I had to do all this running around due to there miscommunication I wanted the full 10% ($70) and not just $50. If the guy knew what he was talking about I could have done it in 20 minutes instead of 2 wasted hours.

So the other manager agreed to that, but said don’t tell anybody. So I’m telling everybody that can read.   
Bottom line, after the 10% and the $200 for the trade in, I got my new iPad Air M3 Blue version instead for $429. That’s great since money is really tight.   The squeaky steaming wheel does get the extra $20. Reloaded all my backup information from my older iPad to the new one last night and have been futsing with it today to get the minor kinks and passwords corrected
