You might wanna hurry over to TrumpMobile.com and put down your $100 deposit on this pretty little thing...made in America!!! (so they say, although anyone who knows anything about phones suggests that making an American phone if impossible or incredibly expensive).
$47.45/month for the "47 plan" (taxes and fees extra).

She's a brilliant mind, and could easily have "done the math". It was foolish for her to risk her liberal seat to the 2016 election, and women across the country are now paying for her mistake. Occasionally with their lives.
If it wasn't vanity... and the notion that she was "needed" still... what would you like to call it?
Ironically, Amy Coney Barrett has shown tenancies that many Republicans don't like, but on the big issues... she and RBG are polar opposites.
Vanity, or did she simply not believe that there was so much fascism at the core of this country?

You're the biggest, richest, most free and powerful country in the world and you run about squealing as though someone stole your honey pot.
It is painfully clear to the rest of us, but oddly not to the Trump fanbase.
They didn't even raise an eyebrow when the slogan was "Make America Great Again" because to them, everything was better when they were kids. These are people who just never adjusted to being grown up and having grownup thoughts.
I agree 100% with you...but he won not because he could energize the base, but because the option wasn't compelling to enough people to stop him.
What I really like was the bolded part above. That is driver for the MAGA folks. They feel as though someone stole the American Dream right out from under them, and they're angry. They don't want to take accountability... they want someone to blame. DEI, CRT, LGBTQ+.... those are all things that appear to have enabled others to improve their standing here... so where is my acronym?
I agree that the base is being used for their anger, and Trump's superpower is saying what they want to hear without the baggage of reason, logic, and context. They don't care.
But.... he won again because Biden and Dems dropped the ball. If Biden would have dropped from the race in year 2 and said "go get 'em" to the field... I don't think Trump wins again. I really wanted an open convention... and thought it would suck a ton of oxygen out of the room on Trump.... but Joe didn't do that and here we are.
Sidenote: Biden took his legacy as the guy who righted the ship and navigated the US out of COVID, and destroyed it by being the "old guy who took the country down with him".
They are correct about the first part. But they are blaming the wrong people. In no small part because they put the American dream out on the sidewalk, unlocked and unguarded because they wanted to go raid it for themselves. But someone got there first and now they are pissed.

And the bar had been catastrophically lowered by his predecessor #45, not by Biden.

Don't forget that idiot RBG. By not retiring at the right time she destroyed the integrity of the SCOTUS
No one is that surprised that Trump won. It is something we all feared.
Trump won because he has one single simple message: grievance.
He didn't win because he has a working plan of how to fix it, because he demonstrably doesn't.
He didn't win because he has a vision of a brighter better future for his supporters, because he demonstrably doesn't. (He has one for himself, but not for you.)
He didn't win because he identified the causes of your grievance because, instead, he latched onto the easiest targets of illegal immigration and transgender issues, which are not the actual causes of your grievance in any way, shape or form.
No, he won purely and simply because he told you that you have a right to feel aggrieved and by God, we are going make someone pay for it.
He is the poster boy for America's big fat insecurity complex.
Yet, the glaring omission in all of this is what exactly are you aggrieved about?
