It's hard to believe THIS actually A) tricks anyone, but B) gathers donations
WTF?
Actually, it is easy for me to believe this tricks anyone. We are all getting used to ignoring license agreement tick boxes etc.
It just took me about 5 tries to download and install some free software that I have used before and I still ended up uninstalling some random stuff I clicked on by mistake.
It's why phishing works, not that people are idiots (although by and large, they are) but because you give people enough chances to overlook something and they will eventually.
@rgio: I have been a political junkie for well over half a century and I do not recall seeing any fundraising campaign that was as sleezy and objectionable as this one.
e How stupid do you have to be to give someone money who calls you a defector if you only give once? The hubris of threatening people "he won't run if you don't pay him every month". It's shocking to think so many people support this guy.

Saying to someone in the process of giving you money:
"We need to know we haven't lost you to the Radical Left. If you UNCHECK this box, we will have to tell Trump you're a DEFECTOR & sided with the Dems. CHECK this box and we can win back the House and get TRUMP to run in 2024"
Make this a monthly donation.
WTF?
The checkbox is "pre-checked", and the statement about what it does is as far away as possible from the box.
It's easy to say that anyone contributing a nickel to the Republicans is an idiot, but they know that. Tricking their supporters so obviously and intentionally just shows who they are (as if we didn't know).
Of course not, if a donor was that self-aware they wouldn't have made it nearly as far as the contribution stage. Sadly, because they are a substantial cohort.

The glassware below isn't a real picture either (look at how straight the text is on a round surface). What's real is the need to Save America, so do your part!

my sensors indicate that the pose is a form of a 16th century dance move known as a curtsey
Curtsey:
A curtsey is a traditional gesture of greeting, in which a girl or woman bends her knees while bowing her head. It is the female equivalent of male bowing or genuflecting in Western cultures.
