What about the Deep Trump movement?

No, not Trump's bowel movement while tweeting away early in the morning.....

I am referring to those patriotic Trump loving loyalists who plan on hurting their fellow citizens and their country's dwindling hegemonic status at every opportunity.

The concept of a deep state—an entrenched bureaucracy, with its own support network independent of budgets and oversight, that transcends regimes and administrations in power (particularly in democracies) is not an invention of Trump, it dates back to the ancient Greeks. The concept of state institutions with their own agendas and power economies has been the subject of Nobel prize-winning scholarship (see James Buchanan) as far back as the 1950s. Eisenhower was referring to it when he used the term "military-industrial complex".

The mocking of this concept by lefties is particularly ironic to those of us who remember when the organs of state security (the pentagon,  CIA, FBI, Mossad, KGB, MI6, etc.) were seen as power centers, driving the behavior of the governments nominally in control of them. Blaming bad behavior by a government on these agencies (absolving their bosses, especially when those bosses were also left-of-center) used to be a reliable applause line.

The concept doesn't just apply to guys who jump out of helicopters with guns drawn. NASA climate scientists surreptitiously releasing climate data, Department of the Interior employees contradicting official policy on agency web sites—these are all actions of career agency employees acting on their own agendas outside of political control.

If you want an example from a different political orientation see the Border Patrol—a rogue agency that has built a constituency in Congress and pretty much gets what it wants regardless of who is in power.

And that, kids, is how Dr. Fauci became an agent of the deep state.

Trump must pardon Snowden & Assange for helping expose ‘deep state,’ says Tulsi Gabbard amid chorus against war on whistleblowers

Outgoing Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has urged President Donald Trump to issue pardons for Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, echoing growing calls to absolve whistleblowers who helped to “expose” the US “deep state.”
“Since you're giving pardons to people, please consider pardoning those who, at great personal sacrifice, exposed the deception and criminality of those in the deep state,” Gabbard said in a tweet addressed to the president on Thursday, referring to Snowden and Assange.

I'm sure that she knows a whole hell of a lot more about this than you do, but go ahead and be a good obedient party member and call her a "commie" like Hillary did.

Biden is going to name POTUS on the 16th...what more proof do you need?  Rigged!

(I'm not saying the deep state stole the election...I'm saying TRUMP is going to say the deep state stole the election.  4 years of lies...you want proof now?)

Ah, they're too smart for that. The lack of evidence is PROOF that they're there.

Except they botched things so badly we had to have a run off. Sheesh. I wonder if we can impeach the Deep State and get someone else in there that's more competent.

What I Learned From My Brush With Trump

Journalists should never again allow someone to create an alternative reality in order to seize the presidency.

Jorge Ramos
By Jorge Ramos

Mr. Ramos is a contributing opinion writer and an anchor for the Univision network.

Pasted:

So, like any sensible journalist, I wrote to the new candidate and asked him for an interview. However, instead of answering my letter, he posted it on Instagram along with my phone number. As a result, I received hundreds of hateful calls and texts and I had to change my number.

Here’s how it all went down in Dubuque. I waited for a pause in Mr. Trump’s comments, raised my hand, said I had a question about immigration and stood up to start speaking. Mr. Trump pretended he didn’t see me and pointed to another journalist. But I kept talking.

“Sit down!” he ordered me four times. I ignored him. “You haven’t been called,” Mr. Trump said. “Go back to Univision.” It was the Trumpian version of the racial slur: “Go back to your country.”

He then gestured at a nearby security guard, who started pushing me back from Mr. Trump, and eventually I was forced out of the room. As the guard pushed me out, I told him not to touch me and that I had the right to ask a question. Outside the conference room, one of Mr. Trump’s supporters told me to “get out of my country,” not knowing that I was a United States citizen. Hate is contagious.

The MAGA Revolution Devours Its Own
Republicans encouraged Trumpist havoc. Now it’s coming for them.
(...) Yet Raffensperger voted for Trump. On Thursday, he told CNN that he supports the president still. The fact that Trump has openly sought to undermine the 2020 election, or that he delights in siccing his followers on his perceived enemies, was not a deal-breaker for Raffensperger. If he is now incensed, it’s because he and his colleagues have become Trump’s targets.

Since Trump’s defeat, the MAGA revolution has begun devouring its own. As it does, some conservatives are discovering the downsides of having a president who spreads malicious conspiracy theories, subverts faith in democracy and turns the denial of reality into a loyalty test. As the internet meme goes, people voted for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party, and now the leopards are turning on them.

Historically the American left, more than the right, was known for circular firing squads and excommunications. By turning the Republican Party into a cult of personality, Trump changed that. As the archconservative Jeff Sessions learned years ago, even a lifetime of ideological service is no defense when you’ve displeased Dear Leader.

People and institutions that get involved with Trump often end up diminished or disgraced. Since the election, this is happening faster than ever. The president is reportedly thinking of firing Attorney General Bill Barr because, for all Barr’s obsequious toadying, he has declined to repeat Trump’s fantasies about widespread electoral cheating. Much of the MAGA-verse has turned on Fox News, because its news programs aren’t pretending that Trump won. (...)

Donald Trump stays silent as US sees record 2,804 coronavirus deaths in a day
Trump instead remains consumed with false allegations that last month’s presidential election, which he lost to Joe Biden, was rigged against him. On Wednesday, when the pandemic death toll hit its record, he released a 46-minute videotaped speech that spread lies and disinformation about voter fraud.

On Thursday, as the country grappled with the traumatic loss of life, Trump was preoccupied with presenting an award to an American football coach. In a subsequent exchange with reporters he did not directly address the unfolding national tragedy, while on Twitter he continued to push baseless conspiracy theories.
