You just declared your blanket hatred of 60 million people.

It must be really hard going out and all's you see are people that you hate while you are on your way to wherever you are going.

I'm not willing to go that far. I think many Trump supporters are frustrated with the direction America has taken economically and feel that people with power are screwing over people with less power, money, etc. I don't think they're necessarily bigots but I do think they're willing to ignore, overlook or dismiss Trump's bigotry and hatred.

But at this point that group of Trump supporters should stop and ask themselves what kind of poisonous intolerance are they enabling. Trump is saying and tweeting these things in order to get re-elected and/or distract Americans from other problems. The lack of pushback from Republican politicians just encourages Trump to say more bigoted and divisive things. Some Trump supporters may welcome anti-immigration speech and less immigration out of fears for lost jobs or eroding culture but in doing so they're helping to destroy our notions of inclusiveness, diversity and open opportunity.

Trump's vision of America is dark, angry and vicious. Women, gays, minorities and immigrants lose status, freedoms, opportunity and power in Trump's America. If Trump's supporters are willing to actively or passively enable Trump's bigotry and attempts to reduce those group's place in America, they should be condemned for helping to destroy America. We cannot go back to the 1950s when  those groups were in the shadows or fringes.

For those of who oppose Trump and his hate speech, it's long past time that we wised up. It's great that we openly and actively oppose his bigotry, but we need to reduce the outrage and desire to tar all of his opponents as cut from the same cloth as Trump. It just encourages his supporters to rally around him and encourages Trump to spew even more. He feeds off of and actually gains power from hatred, anger and divisiveness.

I guess as long as both wives understand who is boss and do not indulge in whining and moaning; everything is wonderful in the best of all possible worlds.

Can we send their wives back to their sh*thole countries?

It makes you wonder: how many of the white Republicans in Congress have black or Muslim or foreign-born wives? Vanishingly few I expect.

Those with fond memories of the September 11 2001 attacks on New York City and the Pentagon will rejoice in Trump's Mid-East policies and so-called pro-Israeli, pro-Jewish (sic) rhetoric.

Expect more blowback and not just against soft targets outside the USA.  There is no such thing as a 'free lunch' in the world of violent takings.   No matter how entitled and righteous one feels.

If Americans truly wanted an anti-Semitic president, they got one.

Calling someone a rapist is not a casual thing as you seem to suggest.  It is rather serious in most circles and using the term is usually reserved for someone with a conviction in my understanding.  Putting Trump in the same regard with Cosby and Weinstein is a very serious charge to make.  We all know what Weinstein is accused of and facing in several legal venues.

Cosby, I guess semantic terminology is everything with you.  I would say that he is a convicted rapist.  Cosby was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault and sentenced to three to ten years in prison in September 2018.  From what I can gather aggravated indecent assault is rape with serious additional circumstances.  I guess you don't think of it as rape because the term was left out.

Using your standards, I would have to call Bill Clinton a rapist, right ?  While accused, never convicted.  I have called Clinton a lot of things but never a rapist.  Interesting how time changes words and their usage.

I'm not using the term lightly.

Pennsylvania law describes "aggravated indecent assault" as a second class felony, a less serious crime than rape (a first class felony). You can see the definitions here. The conviction was not the only time he has raped someone, and he has admitted such under oath in a civil procedure. Most of these cases couldn't be prosecuted because of the statute of limitations.

Yes, by my standards Bill Clinton is a rapist. As I said. You don't have to abide by my standards, you have your own—and as more and more details about Trump's past come to light I expect those standards to, um...evolve.

I chose to believe E. Jean Carroll's statement that she was raped by Trump just as I chose to believe your statement that your relation (a cousin, I think?) was raped by an illegal immigrant. Do you think I should have been more skeptical of your claim?

You brought up Bill Clinton and indirectly Juanita Broaddrick, the woman who claimed Clinton raped her. Broaddrick not only denied the allegation of rape for years, she issued a sworn affidavit in 1998 denying that Clinton had raped her.

https://www.npr.org/2016/10/09...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/...

Broaddrick did state in a 1999 Dateline NBC interview that Clinton had raped her in the 70s but that she was afraid to come forward because she didn't think people would believe her.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/...

Given that Broaddrick went so far as to issue a sworn affidavit denying that Clinton raped her before changing her recounting of the past, I am more skeptical of her claim than I would normally be when reading of a woman's claim of rape. However, I remember seeing part of an TV interview with Broaddrick and thinking at the time that at a gut level her words about Clinton raping her rang true.

BUT I HAVE TO ASK YOU, KURT: what really is the point of your bringing up this accusation about Clinton when I mentioned Carroll's accusation that Trump raped her? Do you think that this is some sort of political accounting game wherein the sins of one political party member get weighed agains the sins of another? Let's assume that Clinton and Trump committed rape: does that make Trump's rape any less awful or criminal?

I admire Clinton's work as a president. I don't admire his chronic infidelity or his behavior with some women in private. If he committed rape, he should have gone to jail. If sufficient evidence came forward to allow prosecutors to convict Clinton of rape, I'd welcome his prosecution, conviction and incarceration.

Similarly, If sufficient evidence came forward to allow prosecutors to convict Trump of rape, I'd welcome his prosecution, conviction and incarceration.

I know you admire and support Trump. I wonder, however, whether your support for Trump wavers or falters when:

24 women have publicly claimed Trump sexually assaulted them

Trump boasted of being able to grab women by the pussy with impunity

he regularly makes openly sexist, racist, rude and hateful remarks

he has clearly attempted to obstruct justice

he repeatedly broke numerous laws and tax regulations in a years-long attempt to defraud the IRS and NY government taxation entities, etc. etc. etc.

Frankly, I think you're one of the people who wouldn't bat an eyelash if Trump did shoot someone on Fifth Avenue as he boasted. I don't think there's anything that Trump could do to destroy your support. I don't think you can think clearly or dispassionately about Trump.

I do think Trump is suckering you like so many others in the past and present. I do think you need to think long and hard about why you support a man whom you would loath if you had to spend time or do business with him. I know you like to point to the state of the US economy but tell me with evidence how Trump's actions and statements have improved the US economy overall.

Do you like the tax cut that overwhelmingly benefited a fraction of the top 1% of US wealth-holders? Or maybe the repeated attempts to gut or weaken the ACA with not even a plan to replace the ACA?

Or maybe you get off on seeing kids separated from their parents and crammed into cages with not enough medical care, food, water or hygiene. After all, they came to the US illegally so Trump's government can ignore their human rights. Right?

Trump is a monster. Congrats on handcuffing yourself to him.

Did Trump actually rape a woman?  I thought he was simply a man who had sexually assaulted a number of women by doing what passes as male of stature 'courtship' in the USA.

Somewhere around 1/4 to 1/3 of North American women will have been sexually assaulted or raped at least once in their lives.  Recall that roughly 40% of those attacks are catalyzed by or coincide with heavy alcohol consumption.

Nobody said he was convicted, just that he is a rapist. As are Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton, and Harvey Weinstein—none of whom have been convicted of rape.

OJ wasn't convicted of murder either.
