As a duly authorized spokesperson for the entire Great State of California, I say that swapping us for Greenland would be fine. Proceed with the paperwork.

Statehood! Not just a territory or whatever else it could be. We can't give Puerto Rico statehood because that would be too expensive but 50k Greenlanders? Cheap!
In an amusing-ish twist, the FWs have a friend who moved to England and claimed Greenlandic Inuit origins. A lie, but she sort of looks the part and she sold it. Her California-girl faux-London accent was just messed up enough that anyone who heard her speak certainly could assume she was from some strange land. So anyway they allowed her to stay because she was part of the EU.
I think she's officially a citizen of the UK now but I'm wondering if they'd revoke her visa otherwise.

put it up for a vote. Let's get everyone on record.

Here's another of my Won't Come True Predictionsâ¢:
The GOP sees trump as soon to die/be impeached when they lose the midterms.
Vance has no charisma and will be a lousy substitute to keep the momentum. Entirely possible he'll likewise be impeached? Well, might as well plan ahead.
Speaker of the House would be next in line and Johnson isn't the right person to lead the GOP in the absence of trump/Vance.
So, I would think we might be in for some shift in who takes the Speaker role as we get nearer the midterms. Johnson is already whining "it's too hard..." so it sets him up to resign the position on cue.
Guessing game: who would they put in his place, expecting that person to possibly become President of the USA?
since we live in most craziest of times, Lauren "Handy Oakley" Boebert....wouldn't THAT be entertaining!

Jody Arrington - Texas. When the Texas republicans start to bail...
Also, Dan Newhouse from WA, We're a safe dem state, but he's in a blood red district. He has gone against trump a few times though, so I think he's feeling it from both sides now.
Newhouse is in a weird position since his district relies on massive amounts of federal funding. This gives trump a big stick. The reason he had the courage to vote to impeach trump was that General Mattis, who was trump's secretary of Defense is from the area and very beloved, came out against trump.
Aside from his view's on trump, Newhouse is not a moderate republican. And there are still plenty of MAGA in the area including ones who work for the government who are happy to shoot themselves in the foot
There isn't really a "both sides" in his district. Your state's weird primary process meant that in the last election he was running against an extremist republican MAGA

seems not great that we let a conspiracy theory podcaster look at all our nationâs secrets for 6 months then quit and go back to podcasting
When asked by Fox Newsâ Sean Hannity how his recent comments squared with his past claims about the pipe bombs, Bongino said he was âpaid in the pastâ for his opinions, âand one day I will be back in that space.â
âThatâs not what Iâm paid for now. Iâm paid to be your deputy director, and we base investigations on facts,â he said.
