Well it's about removing a confidence man from the Oval Office but that's not the point of Red's post.

Hmmm. I hate to believe that. You think the same is true with Democratic Party leadership and Warren?

I think I believe on this discrete incident that it is Hillary trying to insist on being a player instead of being relegated to the sidelines — something she apparently cannot accept.

Yep. We've had two decades of narrowly contested elections with several questionable outcomes. I'm really surprised more people haven't given up on it yet. Of course this year looks to be a pretty good chance for roughly half of the people not to trust the outcome either way. Maybe after the war we can have a better solution.

Yes that has always been my hope as well, but the starkness has reached a level as to if not now, when?

This is the point in the cycle where I'm usually getting discouraged and wondering how do we get some traction and keep in the race past South Carolina. It really demonstrates the problems with letting Iowa and New Hampshire have such an out-sized influence. This and the senate representation issues are the things that are going to discourage enough people to lose faith in the system.  Once that happens, all bets on civility are off.

Joe Biden holds a commanding lead among black voters, new poll shows

NEW: WaPo/Ipsos poll of black Democratic voters

Biden 48%
Sanders 20%
Warren 9%
Bloomberg 4%
Booker 4%
Yang 3%
Buttigieg 2%
Steyer 2%

(769 Black Dem registered voters, MoE: +/- 4 points

How ironic.  It is as if Biden is trying to make it interesting.  I am always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt and understanding context, but Joe, this is just racist as Hell:

{#Eek}

Joe Biden's Idea of Why Parents Don't Attend Parent-Teacher Conferences Is Way Off

https://www.sheknows.com/parenting/articles/2152515/joe-biden-parent-teacher-conference/

I wouldn't say he's way off, but maybe just that at his wife's school, that's one reason of many. Overall, though, especially with his "too poor at a quarter million a year to afford insurance" quote, I certainly would say he's out of touch. Is there anyone still in the race who's not going to be 80 at the end of their 2nd term?

I think a lot of it is as corrupted or actually perverted would be a better descriptor as our political system has become it has reached the point of molding the kind of people that is necessary to be successful in it and the result are shady candidates regardless of age.{#Cry}  However this does not mean that we as a society are immune to our own responsibility in all of this, it is just that even with the knowledge of how and where it all went wrong our endless march toward modernity and convenience has left us in a situation to where we created an existence that would require such a complete and global sea change or paradigm shift in our civilization to survive that it is not even remotely tenable given Humanity's current level of spiritual evolution.  This is the real inconvenient truth that we must face.
