Yeah I think they were usually matched sets from Sears or Jaqcues Pinay or something like that.

It made me wonder if there was a specific time when vodka became a more popular liquor choice in the US — late 1950s-early '60s?  I wonder if part of the pitch was not having your breath reeking of whiskey.  Cool jacket that guy has.
